Imsim isn't a genre, it's a gameplay design philosophy that emphasizes a systems driven approach which clearly isn't the case with CP2077 especially in light of that wretched GTAV style car chase/shootout in the gameplay preview.

I have no clue whether it'll be good or not, but after this long it'll be hailed as either the game of the decade or an absolute turd. I don't think there will be any middle ground for it after people waiting what 7? years since the first announcement. I'm still cautiously optimistic and I hope it's good, but I'm certain that regardless of whether it's good or not this board will be adamant that it's shit.

Cyberflop 2020 for sure, Sony just refunded me my preorder money, all I had to do was fill out a form they emailed me lol, never even asked for a refund, they just gave it away knowing that the game will be shit and I deserve better.

I thought it would be amazing because it was CDPR and the release date was March 20th. I preordered it like 2 months before release because I got some extra spending money from a side job. I wanted they “hey I forgot I got this!” feeling for what was supposed to be an amazing best game ever. Maybe your just a brainwashed faggot or a poorfag that can’t afford to part with money, I don’t see it as a problem, I would have still played it if they never gave me a refund, but now I can actually decide if all the cut content and terrible gameplay videos are as bad on release. $60 isn’t that much money to spend and wait for something, I spend lots of money and have to wait for items to be shipped me to me anyway. Life isn’t all about instant gratification. But still, learned my lesson, won’t preorder any CDPR games ever again.

Given their past gameplay development efforts, I don't think CDPR can pull off a proper immersive sim. Also, imsims don't appeal to their target audience for CP2077 (Witcher 3 fans) who are going to appreciate shit with more canned "epic moments" like TLoU rather than Prey 2017.
