How come no other AC game managed to surpass 2 in terms of storyline, setting and characters?
Assassin's Creed II
You can thank Ubisoft for firing the creator of Assassin’s Creed, when he refused to turn it into a yearly a CoD game, like they wanted. I will forever hate them for this. Their greed literally destroyed this series.
Ubi greed
Assassins creed is a literal madden-tier game now
Ass creed 2 is so good imo
its made by someone who cared about something else other than money
i thoroughly enjoyed 1 and the ezio games, even revelation.
I think they did a good job with Unity but 2 is still the best
Same, I think Brotherhood is the weakest of the Ezio triology, but it's still miles better than the shit we currently get.
You're all fucking delusional, all AC games suck, no exclusion.
The games have practically no stealth elements to speak off, the combat consists of holding down one button and then timely pressing another one to "counter", and all the ingame exploration boils down to foolproof climbing and jumping, none of whom can end up fatal.
Had AC1 only lived up to those early trailers, had it only done what it promised.
That's why I didn't include "gameplay" on the OP, moron.
What part of ALL OF THEM SUCK do you not understand you massive Lovecraft pet.
Dumping the AC2 artbook for anyone that gives a shit
Based.
Cope.
Fuck assasins creed, I'm sick of boats
AC2 oozes soul and just because Ubi turned the franchise into CoD and later entries are shit doesn't ruin AC2's legacy.
Honestly, AC2 had the best Assassin outfit, it's so fucking stylish.
Ass Creed 2
>still was somewhat educational and historically accurate while having an entertaining fictional story
>introduced famous historical figures and made them your bros
>refined and mastered the mechanics of the first game
>added new gameplay segments that weren't bad on execution (building a town, upgradeable gear, dual hidden blades, etc.)
>had neat story missions and events
>Jesper Kyd
>fist fight with the fucking pope and expanded the lore of the universe
Ass Creed II at the time was the perfect AAA sequel. Left the series open enough to not ruin the mystery but still had enough to leave you satisfied, and then Ezio's revenge story got so popular they made two sequels for him. Renaissance Italy was also an interesting as fuck setting, did I mention it was neat how they were still educational while being based?
The more random bullshit they added onto it the less cool it was.
The ones in the later Ezio games and beyond are barely even fucking white.
>you'll never experience AC2 and AC4 for the first time again
is this true suffering bros?
But AC1 did
