Finally. Anyway, Ghost Survivors was the ultimate casual filter in RE2 Remake. All the faggots who relied on memorization and walkthroughs to beat the main story on hardcore got absolutely stomped the second they had to think about anything on the fly.
I do admit they pushed it to the very fucking limit on Runaway, and the final corridor in Kendo's run is bullshit.

They would have to dumb down the survival element but I can't say I didn't enjoy mercenaries in RE4 and RE5.

Why not? It's good fun, after spending the campaigns always trying to avoid fighting, you get to have some fun with the combat mechanics. However, I have to say that I really enjoy the concept of Ghost Survivors - small side-stories of other characters. The only complaints I have are that their canon status should be left for the community to decide, and that they need to be a bit more fleshed out - doesn't have to be like campaign DLC but a couple of lines and some more text really wouldn't kill.

In regards to HUNK's character I disagree. I prefer his backstory to be more mysterious. The rest I agree with.

Most probably did in RE2's case because it was such a streaming phenomenon, but specially hardcore mode I can guarantee that more than half the people who beat it watched someone do it before.

I think some guy at Capcom was just completely enthralled with the idea of zombies on a train and didn't really think anything else through beyond that.
He's probably the same guy who backed up all the pre-rendered environments when everything else got deleted too.

Both Chris' campaign and Jill's campaign are meant to be canon. Chris, Jill, Barry and Rebecca all survive the mansion. But yeah it's still a little confusing. My main gripes with the Remake is that it failed to elaborate on that.

It just doesn't feel good after the train, the inventory system does not feel fun, it makes the game a massive chore. The mansion is too similar and the story isn't really the best.
I like Billy and Rebecca a ton though and the train is absolute kino, great puzzles, great environment. Its just not a great game overall sadly. REmake is the quintessential classic RE game.

what I hate the most about this game are the achievements/trophies, they're straight up broken
dropped the game after having beat it 7 times getting all the weapons and it still refuses to give me that fucking "get all the weapons" trophy
