Alright fellas, help me out here. My current chair I use for vidya is shit and it's hurting my back. What is the absolute meeting point of quality and price for a gaming/office/whatever chair? I have about 200 CAD to spend.

Mine's $40 but I heard you should spend at least a few hundred USD for a quality chair. If you're overweight, you might want to lose some as that can also lead to back problems.

I got one like this from Sam's for around 150 I think. Does the job.

what chair do you have?

Sitting too long can hurt your back too. You'd want to do some daily walking too, ideally at least 1 mile a day. Make sure to always keep yours back straight too even while gaming. Stretches also help a lot.

Not video games. Go ask the or boards.

The Markus from ikea is a great entry level ergonomic for your price point

Get the nice one from Ikea. No joke, it's the only thing they make that's comfortable for everything and built to last. Been using mine for 7 years.

Not straight, take it to

Samefag here. Just remembered it's called the Markus.

thanks man I'm gonna check that out

Glad to help. As a follow-up it's the cheaper fabric one. I just keep it locked upright and it's comfortable. Don't worry about the rubber arms, theyre comfy and the leather ones are worse. Does have some adjustments and the arms are screwed the fuck in so no adjusting. Only maintenance is tightening the arm bolts every 3 years. And I'm a 6' 250lb fatass.

Unless you're sitting on the cheapest chair ever, the chair isn't the problem, it's your posture.

Why don't you get a lumbar back pillow?

it's a chair from wal mart that I panic bought that has a really painful metal bar where your back rests

>1350 bucks
Get a Titan 2020, a used Aeron and build a new pc or upgrade the current one.

Sometimes those things feel oofy goofy and try to push you out of your chair.
Not op btw

Probably the chair then - but don't buy the hype. You don't need a 400 dollar chair, the best test is sitting down and seeing if it's comfortable, this is one of those things where you're better off going to a furniture store.

What kind of stretches do you recommend?

snap, cringe, etc

i use a plastic chair

cringe
BASED

Buy an exercise ball and sit on that. It's comfortable to sit on and will force you to keep a straight back.

I don't know what they're called and I don't think I can explain them well enough through text but there are back stenches my father showed me that I've been doing since as a teenager. I'm sure they're nothing unique and you can read about them online. They mostly involve bending move to gently pull your back muscles but you have to do them in a certain why or else you'll just hurt your back. Once you see how it's done they're easy to remember and do.

is your posture good while playing video games? Do you take breaks every hour for 5-10 minutes and stretch? I use a folding chair with a little cushion at my desk and its way more comfortable than office crap chair. only thing is my cheeks hurt after gaming for a long time but that happens with any chair

>tfw lower back pain and I have no fucking idea what's causing it aside from me driving alot

Waste of fucking space

Get into yoga, Op. You need good posture.

Exercise more, also buy one of those lumbar supports that attaches to your current chair. A very good one is only 1/4 your budget and will improve a shit chair far beyond most mid-tier chairs.

What are you talking about what lumbar support

can you please provide more details about this stretch

Heel Dig Bridges and Bird Dog stretches
doesn't hurt to do Pelvic tilt exercises or hamstring stretches either :^)

Not him but I do the cobra pose along with my other Zig Forums stretches before hitting the gym. It feels bretty good too.
