Terminator: Resistance is getting a VR mode. No idea when it's releasing. Could be today. Could be next week. Could be months away. But it's coming. steamdb.info
Hopefully the VR is well executed.

Why does everyone in this game look like one crack pipe away from doing porn?
of all the games, why this? i actually played it to completion, thought it was a weird little game. not bad, not good.
also easy as fuck, might be one of the easiest games i've played in my life. yeah if a terminator caught you unawares in tight quarters you're probably dead but that literally almost never happens.
Wow, nobody cares
Neat. I never got around to playing it, if the VR is any good maybe I'll try it out.
Kinojank, absolutely a must 9/10 if you are a Terminator 1 and 2 fan and you want a good conclusion to the series that ignores the trash
Terminator Resistance thread?
Ok
Did you save everyone Zig Forums? Did you settle down with Jennifer?
Favourite Plasma weapon? For me it's the 50 cal styled one
It's the immidiate post judgment day user, you face hk tanks with bazookas and maybe plasma red weapons
The game did decently but I wish it got more attention to have more. It's a lore friendly loveletter to the franchise that should be canonized
Yes
Yes
Level 3 AR
>also easy as fuck, might be one of the easiest games i've played in my life.
Did you play the launch version or the console version or something? Difficulty was completely revamped in 2020, but only on PC so far.
>Did you settle down with Jennifer?
No. It's Jacob's responsibility to continue the time loop. Sending another soldier to die in his place is the coward's way out.
i'd love to read a thread about it but i don't have much to say. thanks for the prompt
>Did you save everyone Zig Forums
yep, it was ezpz, no point not to
>Did you settle down with Jennifer?
no, completed the loop by going into the time machine
i probably would have settled with her, if it wasn't for my tendency to say yes to everyone in these types of games, which lead me to that ending by accident.
>Favourite Plasma weapon
the sniper rifle for ohko-ing terminators from a distance.
pirated it, so i'd assume that would be the launch version. the later enemies seemed to have decent accuracy, hitpoints and damage output, it's just that the AI was retarded. did they fix the ai?
I think that's just to fix the loop and save everyone, in a successful playthrough you are supposed to break the loop by sending someone else.
But it's really just 5-8 months so I guess that if the older Jacob survives the bombing he can still find Jennifer
>pirated it, so i'd assume that would be the launch version. the later enemies seemed to have decent accuracy, hitpoints and damage output, it's just that the AI was retarded. did they fix the ai?
The AI was significantly altered. They pursue the player for much longer (which means previously rare behaviors like kicking down doors and checking inside vents are commonplace), plus on Hard/Extreme Terminators fire continuously instead of in short bursts. Basically the AI was changed so that difficulty alters AI behavior. I'd say the new Easy is harder than the old Extreme. They also revamped weapon damage, weapon ammo usage for plasma weapons, and revamped loot drops/game economy to make crafting and ammo conservation fairly important to the core loop. Presumably they're still working on additional improvements beyond just adding VR. They also added an FOV slider and stuff like that.
The annoying oddity is that consoles still haven't gotten any of this. I dunno what the holdup is. It's been five months since the PC version was very significantly improved. Consoles have zilch.
Repirate it, most repackers updated the version months ago. The AI is surprisingly good at breaking your tricks
wow that is a shame those improvements weren't there at launch, because the game was screaming for them. enemy ai aside, it really was stupid easy to start rolling around in resources and i barely crafted shit.
is it as easy to max out your skills now too?
i don't know if i feel like playing it right now, since it's kind of a trashy game either way, but it's good to know that if i ever go back to it, it'll be more challenging.
>plus on Hard/Extreme Terminators fire continuously instead of in short bursts.
This solves some major design issues in the OG where you could just hunker down behind barriers and poke your head out to shoot Terminators as they walked towards you. They'll now aggressively shoot at your location, and barriers are destructible. Terminators and armoured spiders working in pairs are extremely dangerous now, because they're firing at the same time and they don't let up.
This is the shooter equivalent of Spiders games, maybe not the best budget, but sure doesn't lack soul. Even tho it was nothing special graphically, LA destroyed and Skynet prisoner camps really gave that post apocalypse kino feeling. The combat also had a nice feeling to it
>is it as easy to max out your skills now too?
It just depends on how much you kill
>wow that is a shame those improvements weren't there at launch, because the game was screaming for them. enemy ai aside, it really was stupid easy to start rolling around in resources and i barely crafted shit.
I think there were two factors. One, I suspect the game was originally meant to ship in early 2020 instead of November 2019. Two, they were apparently afraid of alienating casual Terminator movie fans with difficulty spikes, so really lowballed the difficulty. It was only after near-universal feedback that the game was ridiculously easy that they started looking at addressing the problem. It's kinda frustrating that they've left the console versions unpatched all this time because pre/post patch are both good, but one is significantly better as a game. Pre-patched is a fairly middling FPS experience carried by the music, atmosphere, story, etc. Post-patched is a much more cohesive game experience.
Hell, they even added gamepad rumble to the PC version 5 months ago, which is still missing from the consoles last I checked.
do enemies respawn now? i usually cleared the map and that gave me enough experience. are you telling me is different enough that i'll have to avoid enemies?
sounds plausible.
yeah the atmosphere and music were almost horror game level, which is appropriate for the terminator universe, but really clashed with the piss easy difficulty. i still remember i felt kind of claustrophobic and scared in that one mansion full of terminators that you had to clear until i realized they were literally too retarded to be a threat

Best Terminator theme
They didn't change the spawn, enemies simply react better, shoot your cover away, can hunt you down in vents and such
Based I have been thinking about replaying it. Thanks for the heads up.
>biggest patch was just to up the difficulty, as if that was even remotely a problem or could instantly make a forgettable game good in an instant.
>still haven't patched in vibration for gamepads, unresolved plot elements, terrible repetitive gameplay, etc
DarkSoulsfags were a mistake
>unresolved plot elements
que?
Are they being paid by VR gear peddlers to add this to their game?
Ok retard
Incredible how some indie studio of passionate code monkeys managed to come up with a better plot for Terminator 3 in a few months than Hollywood eggheads could in 2 decades
Baron.
Nice rebuttal. I'm sorry you own stock in the developer
>Baron
Are you LITERALLY retarded?
first person sex scenes
Sorry, but you got to do better than that.
>Baron
>Unresolved plot element
Name a more zoom zoom post
Maybe VR TRULY is the future
What's unresolved with Baron?
What actually happens to her? That little detail?
What a fucking retard
