I actually really enjoyed the game.
And the OST is absolutely incredible.

If you heard ahead of time that the main dev is a tranny and you went into the game all edge-lord-fedora-cringe, then your displeasure with what is otherwise a phenomenal game is your own fault.

OST is good.
Story is trash. Metaphors aren't good if you explain them in every dialogue, and the dialogue is pure "ugh, I can't even..." teenage depression garbage which is only lauded so much because it so brazenly panders to the tumblr teenager audience whom are also notoriously impressionable and defensive.
Gameplay is tight but the level design leaves something to be desired. Mechanically interesting early levels but later on it devolves into "put three platforms in a room, determine a jump path between them and fill the rest of the volume with spikes".
Despite being a passable, if not good, platformer, the unique selling points are the style and story, all of which are poor. Once you disregard them you're left with a 6/10 platformer praised as a 9.5/10 and that's why people hate it. Not because of lgbt anxiety stuff in the game, but because lgbt anxiety pandering retards overrate the fuck out of it.

It's a thoroughly mediocre precision platformer that never really does anything to advance the genre, and the level design really kills it at parts.
Not OP, but I bought it because I surprisingly really enjoyed Dustforce and wanted something along the same vibes, but what I found was a game whose only selling point is being a weak and horrendously vapid allegory for a common mental illness that, if anything, encourages a condescending perspective over it. It's the "just stop being depressed brolol" argument in game form and that alone is frankly infuriating, but it'd be forgivable if it wasn't so focused on delivering that instead of a consistent, fun, challenging and deceivingly complex platforming experience. But it doesn't do that and there's literally no depth to its mechanics, something that weights on it and just plain out becomes a detriment once you reach the post-game content.
At least it's long so if you enjoy it it'll be well worth the money. But it's far too flawed to be recommendable in good spirit, at least if you're autistic (and experienced) enough about videogames to look at them with a slightly critical perspective even while just playing.
And just as an extra: autogynephilia isn't a gender, you mentally ill fetishistic retards. Come to terms with and embrace your paraphilias for what they are before an increasingly stupid society lacking in critical thought encourages you to ruin your life over it.
