well there was that one time.....oh shit you're completely right
*is playing it in a window right now*

No

Immortal unironically looks better

>has never heard of Diablo

poe is better

It really drops the ball on Act 3, but you're right, Diablo 2 is probably one of the best games of its kind

>BTFOs Diablo 2 with the Paragon system

>real money auction house
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
*inhale*

>don't you guys have phones
>you all have phones right
I guess so

>my skinner box game gas never been topped
Ok lab rat.

I mean path of diablo somehow made a lot of little improvements but yeah

D2 sp is not a skinner box

my little nephews (around 6) come to my house with bloodlust to play some diablo 2 on my shitty old pc

Diablo 1 is better in every way possible. Diablo 2 was Diablo 3 - a soulless shitty game.

>he didn't make thousands off losers buying pixels

>my skinner box
video games, amiright'

Is it worth playing through 1 and 2 in single player

You can like what you like, but Diablo 2 is literary built around watching the dps numbers go higher and higher while doing runs again and again, forever.

>Blizzard shit
Fucking zoomer normies, I swear to god...

somebody play this game with me, ive legit been fucking obsessed with it since i was like 6 years old

Is it one of those games that actually sucks if you play it today?

yes

I heard you have to follow a guide to function late game though. Is that true?

2 is worth the multiplayer, it has the workings of a proto MMO, with instanced games and a global chat channel

I struggled with my last playthrough of D2, and then I read that apparently they made it much harder in 1.11 and felt far less retarded. D2 is nice and all, but fucking hell it's becoming a pain to get working; just get a glide wrapper and play it at 800x600 lmao

I don't know if I broke the game somehow but when I reached the desert in 2, the game was too easy. I got really bored playing the game. Maybe there is something I did wrong.

yes

I have over 2000 hours. Never used a guide or purchased a stash box. I'd say it depends on how much thinking you're willing to do. If you're the type of player that cant figure things out from reading what the NPC's say, then you will need a guide, but everything you need is in game if you're patient and analytical.

Yeah, it's a huge pile of shit

dumb ESL

1 cent have been deposited in your blizzard account :)

>blizzdrone defending a shitfest that blizzard shat in a period that shit was so niche that the shiteaters didnt know they were eating shit
in other news, water is wet

You don't. There are 3rd party services, like poe.ninja, which shows meta and popular builds in detail. You can watch people who use your favorite skill and get ideas on how to improve your own build.
But if you really want to be effective (let's say you want to RMT), you need to read several guides.

I agree that Diablo 2 LOD was the better game but why do people like constantly bring up real money aution house when that shits been gone forever now.

>slash instead of path of diablo

You meant to say "100 honor points".

I usually play edgy wizards (AKA warlocks/necromancers) or Thief class in RPGs. Is there one of those?

shouldn't be hard until at least nightmare.... but honestly any character on normal is very easy. also you can up the difficulty and get better drops/more exp

>believing blue post

>comparing starcraft/diablo era Blizzard with OverCuck era Blizzard
I guess your mom's a permawhore since she sucked a dozen nigger dicks a day in the past

not at all. an example of that would be gothic

yea honestly path of diablo was a way better experience for me but i think id still rather just play the plugy mod on single player unless i had someone to play with, in that i case i would surely move to PoD

What other games can do Summon Necromancers like D2 or PoE? Is it really just those two and only those two?

its probably the best. paints the best image of what could possibly come upon this world.. with some seriously tight gameplay. im one of the best pub destroyers
wotlk is close but the payment req is a bust-
since it would be included at the time of release

Why do D2 fans keep jacking off D2's Itemization? it just hitting break points and getting DPS bonus through a number of Affixes.

Some guy on reddit was sucking off how great this Grand matron bow was because it had
+3 to Bow skills and 4 sockets to make the perfect Faith bow. Like I get it. its extra damage on top of bloated dps affixes. but its just a fancy stat stick

Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2 exist now. I dont care about bigger numbers i care play new play styles , gimmicks, and memes.

So seriously, why do people think D2 itemization is great?

because it was around for all of d3's launch

median endgame is cancer

theorycrafting to hit the breakpoints etc is much more interesting than "equip x set to play y build"

>Diablo 2 was my childhood game
>keep close tabs on all Diablo 3 development news
>activision buys blizzard
>news of real money auction house
I instantly knew the game was going to be shit when they bought blizzard. Companies like activation want to milk a games customers for all their worth and a simple "buy game, get all functionality and content" is not something they settle for. Something HAS to be behind a secondary paywall.
Once the game was old enough and activision didnt care about it as much, thats when all the decent updates happened.

>it just hitting break points and getting DPS bonus through a number of Affixes
there's an entire game between these parameters which is heavily thought out
nu-blizz will find this task impossible to replicate

Yea but thats like saying basing your review of terraria or risk of rain off the initial release and ignoring all the updates. Its doesnt make sense at a certain point when such sweeping changes occurred.

i feel like mentioning too that D3 showers you with the best items the game has to offer as soon as you enter endgame. sure you can still get slight upgrades but high runes and top level uniques like death's web and griffons eye barely ever drop which is honestly a good thing imo. it gives you a reason to keep grinding
