MP3 and MP1 are the best. The only downside to MP1 is the stick spinning mini games and lack of Retardy.

1 is still my favorite because the minigame island/campaign stuff was super fun and challenging. for playing with friends I think I had the most hours spent in 4.

What about 2?

Mario Party GBA was RNG hell and not really Mario Party but fuck you I liked it

TOP TIER
3 ( Peak Mario Party: Good amount of content, decent enough minigames & boards, by far the best Item play which makes for the most intricate plays: 3 understood & perfected the handle of luck in Mario Party, with really fun stuff like Game Guy, Reverse, Chance being good )
HIGH TIER
2 ( Fairly solid all around, no complains of note, just that the Item Play is just beginning so it's not as interesting, also while MP2's peak boards are great, I don't think its boards are great: It fetishizes " Going back to Start " Happening Spaces a little too much )
6 ( Also a pretty good game all around, though none of the boards click with me THAT much, even if I don't hate any. I know people love Faire Square, for good reasons. Despite fixed Orbs, i'm still not a fan of the system, the 3 random item shops + random items )
ALRIGHT TIER
4 ( Guilty pleasure of mine, and very flawed: It's slow, and really bad with Low turn count, which with its slow nature, kind of fucks it. Low turn count doesn't let Stars switch spaces and if they happen to be stuck in a Mini only spot, the game's gonna take at least 5+ turns to get a Star. It gets better over time and its Item Economy is 2nd only to 3, with less broken means of getting coins, making minigames matter a lot )
7 ( It's more or less 6, but worse: Bowser Rage is a shit gimmick, Boards aren't as good outside of Pagoda, Duels are fucked, Chance is fucked, Game is unbalanced )
1 ( The most amount of boards, oddly enough. Lacks staples and boards are hit or miss, same for the Minigame. Fun to watch though for how much it can fuck you over )
5 ( Even slower than 4, horrendous board events, not a huge fan of its boards, and minigames are either really fun or really rigged. Super Duel is great )
8 ( Waggle is tedious, or just Wiimote, otherwise pretty decent )

I haven't played DS in a decade so i'm not rating it. Everything after 9 including Super is mostly shit with some redeeming aspects that could be ok in a compilation.

I only played 2 like once or twice at a friends house, it was just as fun, but I don't have a solid opinion on it because I never played it enough.

I enjoyed some of 8's concepts and presentation. I haven't played many games; is there an equivalent to the fucking hotel investment in a Mario Party with more competent minigames and board design?

I really like the super duel mode in mp5, are there any games that are basically a full-fledged version of that?

lamps were always 20 coins and it'd cost 20 to buy the star.

the issue is that lamps in super are 10 and stars cost 10, its 50% cheaper and coins are more free than before due to second and third also getting coins in 4 player games.

As a person who couldn't play with people often I had a great time with the mic minigames in 6. It is part of why it is my favorite one.
