Get woke go broke.

Honestly forgot this game existed. There was literally zero marketing or hype for it

>Rage
>2
It's not a bad game, but it's Rage 2.

Unapologetic stupidly isn’t amusing, just stupid.

The game is forgettable

i didnt even realize it was released

its not even a woke game
its pretty decent, down right fun actually

its just got all the makings of a fun game, but has little direction so it feels more repetitive

it feels like a sandbox of assets really. makes sense considering the Just Cause guys worked on this

its on xbox game pass. I actually just played it but the driving mechanics are fucking trash.

The marketing didn't really match the tone of the game at all. It's a little purposefully cheesy at times, but otherwise the tone is pretty neutral. The game is alright. Seems like a lot of neat mechanics but no idea what to do with all them so they threw together another Far Cry clone.

>80% off
>Still 20 australian funbux
What the actual fuck were they thinking with that release price? No game is worth $100, let alone some mediocre looter shooter like rage 2.

Why did they do a Rage sequel of all things?
And why is the main marketing color that vibrant Pink?

Mediocre game makes mediocre sales. The boomers in suits and ties thought it would sell more on the name alone. Going woke didn't help the sales either

Idk but unironic is a good game

It's as souless and by the books as open world fps games go. The combat can be very fun and fast paced on the higher difficulties when movement is even more important but you can only make clearing an outpost fun so many times before it gets very old. More enemy types, less zany characters and making some abilities/weapons more important would have helped, the shotgun is so much fun and so powerful that you quickly forget about the other weapons.

a more contained, linear experience could have saved it, but shit, that was Rage 1, wasn't it?

It's literally the most generic game ever made. You could tell me AI designed every aspect of this game and I wouldn't have a problem believing you.

Well it's worse than the first one.

No one asked for it.

I remember I was watching something and they were playing a game in the background. I had no idea what it was until I saw the spinning blade weapon. I thought it was some Chinese Destiny clone

Instead of it trying to be like rage which was doom mixed with mad max and fallout. It tried to be Mad Max mixed with borderlands and far cry.

There was a lot of marketing, it just was all cringe.

This happened. The world is full of people as obtusely stupid people like that actually think there was anything "woke" or "social justice" about this game because there's neon spraypaint and bandits have faggot haircuts.
The game could have used improvements, sure. Like having any reason whatsoever to explore the open world. But nobody complained about that. People that didn't even play the game pusehd people away from playing it because people are stupid enough to believe Zig Forumseddit when they claim a game is "woke".

Good gunplay, fun abilities but they're collectibles, annoying tedium of collecting shit and driving around between the good gunfights. Worth $10 tops.

I played it on Game Pass. One of those games where the core gunplay is pretty good, lot of neat powers and such, but it's bogged down by an awful open world and boring vehicle shit, as well as a patently unlikable cast of characters.

Seethe more, libtard.

Worth it desu. Game was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be.

Avalanche wanted to do another Mad Max game, but WB turned them down, so they shopped their engine that was built for deserts and vehicular combat around until Bethesda realized they had their own Mad Max ripoff IP and picked the devs up.

The marketing honestly killed the game. It made it look like it was going to be Pickle Rick tier wackiness.

Bethesda's marketing department for the past few years have been noticeably shit for whatever reason.
Doom Eternal had nigger music shoved into its commercials, Rage 2 was generally made to look annoying, general audiences had no idea what kind of experience Fallout 76 or Prey 2017 was supposed to be about, etc.

Just beated Madmax. I liked it
How does Rage 2 compare?

Honestly feel like the open world ruined this game, if it was level based it would be amazing, but fuck driving around aimlessly looking for shit to do

Essentially the same kind of game except with modern Doom combat handled by id.
The Just Cause devs can really only make one type of game.
