I want one, so I will buy one.
I want one, so I will buy one
whats the point of this reddit shit if i can just hack my 3ds
Are you worried about the cartridges bumping up against the L and R buttons? Looks like they ride real close together
I just don't understand, there are so many better alternatives, like a modded 3DS or Vita
>implying I'll ever be using cartridges
There isn't. It's a new gadget and people are forever hungry for recognition from their peers so they all bought one despite knowing nothing about it's build quality or emulation capabilities. It's literally a purchase for upvotes. Sane people would either wait to see if it's actually worth it and get one when it restocks, or better yet just get a modded handheld/emulate.
Fuck you got me
how is Nintedo ok with pirating their games and using their games in advertisements?
You don't play the game more than 5 minutes anyways. Like every other emulation station before.
Like your nes mini
Like your SNES mini
Like your smartphone emulators
Like your PC Emulators
Like every other system before
You're just a rebbitor with an attention span of a few minutes. You don't play these games, otherwise you would have already played them. You had hundred of opportunities just the last 10 years.
Now fuck off and get your nostalgias upvotes on rebbit or YouTube. Don't @ me
shillpost. Cartridge isn't locked in and could easily be damaged, I could just hack a DSi or 3ds, simply buy a flashcart for DS, GBA, or GB, hack a Wii or Xbox or PlayStation, use that flashcart on my GameCube player, download emulator and phone "Gameboy buttons" attachment, or literally just use my fucking og gameboy that has never let me down. This is pure cringe, a redundant waste of modern societies blessings, dig a hole and bury yourself alive op.
> he didn't just use his Gameboy Color that he got for his birthday in 1997
Do people really?
Just buy this
Still got mine. How much is it worth today in purple?
can also just buy a used 2ds for $40 that will have other emulators on it and 3ds games
Can this thing even be used without a cartridge? Can I put roms on it?
Because they don't sell Nintendo merchandise. They sell the analogue pocket. Theres nothing Nintendo can do.
this goes for all retroarch shills.
True, but I'm a sucker for the DMG gameboy shape, 2ds is neat but I'm just not interested in the cake slice shape.
Looks like low quality shit. Why would I buy low quality garbage over something with a good build quality/specs?
Officially? No. Can it take SD cards? Yes. Do the math
buy me one too nyyugga
I still play old games to completion, including ones I've never beat before. Didn't buy this thing though.
justifying buying $200 leddit shit
>Looks like low quality shit.
It's a gameboy, what else do you want it to play?
No, it can't.
I would have bought this in a heartbeat if you could play ROMs on it. I understand a device of this quality playing real carts is a massive deal, but most Game Boy games have aged like milk and I do not trust the batteries in my Pokemon games to function long enough to get through a new playthrough in 2020
If there's cores for all the oldschool home consoles then I'll get it in a heartbeat. Otherwise nah.
The buttons are supposed to be programmable.
Unless that turns out to be a lie, I'll just stick L and R on the X and Y buttons. Will require a little re-learning but they are rather weirdly placed on this form factor and it's not like I need them since I only intend to play GB/C/A stuff none of which use X and Y.
Jokes on you, I exclusively only emulate old handheld games from my childhood (since it was the last time I was happy)
I've emulated games to full completion plenty of times
Uhh how about supporting Nintendo???
>zoomers who don’t own a game boy will spend hundreds on emulation chinkshit to feel nostalgic playing on cartridges they never owned
Just buy a ds, faggots
I bought the games because I use them, you imbecile. I'm been replacing save batteries in shit like Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon to use them, you imbecile.
I don't play emulation because I don't play trash and if it's not trash, I own it physically and the original system. A system I am okay with retiring before it dies and adding to my stored collection if something actually as good or better comes along. Which it seems to have.
>flash carts
>mSD slot
Yes it can. Stop being retarded about their "Don't sue me, please!" language.
