The soundtrack is shaping up really nice
Imo that's one of the few things 343 has done right with Halo. 4 had a decent soundtrack, the remasters had great renditions even if the audio was too loud, but 5 was generic Avengers tier crap.
They are relying way too much on the original theme, it’s too repetitive, and too generic. Halo needs to die already.

I listened to 5's soundtrack last night and agree. It was very generic.
I like that it actually sounds like some facsimile of Marty's score. I wonder if they're going to save some kind of modernized take on this track. It's one of my favorite of the whole series.

It's definitely the best track 343 have done. Hopefully the exploration in Infinite matches the feeling this gives. Besides the graphics the game is looking to be very good.
I guarantee this game will be Halo-kino.
Hopefully the story is good. The gameplay looks solid, music so far as seemed good, but it seems like 343 is ignoring Halo 5 completely, which is not at all a good thing. There needs to be definitive answers and followup to what 5 did, if Infinite is completely stand alone only following the Banished plot it'll be a failure, whether they plan to reveal more later on in new expansions or not.

I fully expect it to end up being things like collectible audio logs and vague non-answers. I want to be excited for the story, but the fact it's supposed to have a 10 year plan just makes me feel like the story will feel very short and unsatisfying.

I just went back to play Halo Wars and I forgot how depressing the MP lobby song was
It's good, but relies too much on Marty's motifs. I think there's room to introduce new ideas while still making the game feel otherworldly, the same way that Marty did.
Marty's music feels much larger than it is. This music is just trying to emulate Mr. O'Donnell, rather than his concept behind the music.
Hopefully that makes sense.
