It took only 36 minutes after aq40 opened for guilds to clear it

Is this supposed to be surprising?

lmao seriously?

YOU THINK YOU DO BUT YOU DON'T

>it took professional players 30 minutes to beat content that was already solved 16 years ago
damn...

was there not a big enough clue that classic was hopeless trash after the first yknow 5 raids or whatever.
like who is still holding out for this shit i quit after the very first raid.

why make up numbers

Was that a full clear or skipping optional bosses straight to C'thun? After my blunderous estimate of predicting sub-30min BWL I decided to be more conservative and expected full AQ40 clear would take an hour.

DED GAEM

full clear was about an hour
would have been less but viscidus is unironically the hardest boss in there lmao

link?

>raids have a handful of mechanics and were killed 15 years ago and everyone knows exactly the gear and builds to use because its the same as 15 years ago
>surprised that its relatively easy

what you guys dont understand is that classic being solved and easy is the appeal. I can play and enjoy the game without committing 9-12 hours a week just to raiding (and often on the same couple bosses)

You are the cancer killing videogames.

Don't play MMORPGs if you can't put in the time, you fucking retard. It's the time waster genre. Dragging the game down with you, because you don't give a shit is not a good design choice.

user you're supposed to pretend that vanilla wow is the most mechanically complex and hardest mmo ever created...

"Alright everybody, Im gonna need you to break out your frost wands."

creating a genre where the only people who can realistically make any progress are people who can't actually afford to give you money is an even worse design choice though

i understand your attitude, but why do so many get so sweaty tryhard in classic?

from what I saw hes actually the NR check, not huhuran
you can burst huhu without NR if your world buffed but you have to have at least some on a good chunk of your raid or visc is unhealable

If any modern raid is re-released, it would take people weeks to clear, despite knowing mechanics

>Oh shit...OH SHIT user’S GOING FOR GOLD! HE DID IT! GOLD MEDAL FOR MOVING THE GOALPOSTS!

You don't have to put 8 hours a day, you do 2-3 and still be 100% fine. Let's not pretend only NEETs can achieve something in a MMORPG.

They feel they have something to prove

The raid was designed around players' game knowledge of late 2005. Average raids in classic are dealing double the damage your average raid would in 2005 thanks to things like tank meta being completely different (biggest factor of them all, no longer do rogues have to feint and mages stop casting, also makes fury warrior legitimate as heroic strike threat isn't an issue), consumable preparation (which in turn is easier thanks to all the best gold farming spots being common knowledge), itemization (AQ40 was released before the big 1.10 item rebalance patch) and many others. It's not that hard to understand why it's so piss easy.r

>The raid was designed around players' game knowledge of late 2005.
False.

Well, depends on what you mean by "people". For example, private servers have had custom buffs for Cataclysm's hardmode raids (going beyond compensating for final patch talents) and there are guilds that still beat them despite bosses like Ragnaros-25HC being perceived as infamously difficult. Blizzlike Lich King 0% going down immediately would be a foregone conclusion. If contemporary top guilds knew in advance what exact tactic and appropriate setup would turn out to be optimal with the benefit of hindsight and geared characters in advance with that in mind, along with having mastered the mechanics leading to first kill and farm raids after that, a boss that survived on to the second reset with few hundred wipes would probably go down on the first reset in tens.

Knowledge advantage and experience advantage is a big deal even in later versions of the game, although it of course diminishes as you progress towards the present day. It's really just vanilla and to some extent TBC that have so little room for personal skill and coordination to make a difference that "everyone" gets to beat them (although pre-nerf Maggy/T5 as well as SWP are already tough enough to filter well over half of the guilds, compared to the worse-than-PuGs couple of percents that you see in BWL). However, make no mistake, the content in any expansion would go down A LOT quicker with advance knowledge and experience, at least as far as first kills and guilds tryhard enough to use that advance knowledge are concerned (say, gearing alt warlocks over main mages in T7 in anticipation of first week Yogg+0 - most guilds aren't going down that path even if they knew what's waiting them).

haha cant even keep a wow alive anymore

I'm curious how many of these "classic is so easy kek"-fags actually play classic. You watch a speedrunning guild minmax their way through content with 7/7 worldbuffs, consume stacking and 20+ warrior setups and come to the conclusion the game is piss easy, but to the other 90% of guilds who do not operate like this a raid takes at least 2 hours each and AQ40 is going to wipe them back and forth to hell.
Of course it's not nearly as mechanically challenging as current raids but using speedrun guilds as sample is really retarded.

It didn't but you can keep shitposting.

>36 minutes
Did they skip everything but C'thun?

This, I mean how is this a surprise after Ragnaros was downed by APES in less than an hour with half the raid group being under 60? The game was never hard, people in 2005 were just fucking retarded.

The average retail raider will find no challenge in any content classic has to offer. Even LFR is more demanding mechanically than classic raiding. It was and always has been a joke and anyone that genuinely believes classic is a hard game is either a boomer or mentally deficient.

bros.....we told those ff14 fags that it would take weeks to clear AQ40... what do we do now bros......

It is hard, people with 15 years of practice are not a good benchmark of difficulty.

Neither retail is that hard until the last few Mythic boss fights. Just imagine the average level of the MMO player and then imagine the average level of the Classicuck player lmao.

>le 36 minutes
has it not been cleared by private server guilds ad nauseam?
your average player will never clear it this fast

>I-It's s-supposed to be easy, guys!

I fail to see the difference.
