How mad is everyone going to be when Paper Chadrio gets into Smash along with the Geno Mii costume

Geno's my most wanted, but Paper Mario would honestly be pretty cool. The only thing that sucks is his moves would be based on the shitty games in the series.

Honestly, I trust Sakurai to get Paper Mario right. Assuming Nintendo don't breath down his neck, he's sure to give good representation to all parts of the franchise. My only real worry is that he'll have the stupid white outline.

This is why I don't understand peoples arguments against Paper Mario. Of anyone, Sakurai is the one person I'd expect to do the character some justice.

Sure, PM would have some aspects from recent games like his FS being a giant fan or scissors or something, and his grab would be 1000 Fold Arms, but I think it's safe to assume your specials would be different partners.

you could put the normal charged hammer swing as fsmash, fliphammer as dsmash and hammer throw as usmash and call it a day, maybe put the overworld hammer slam as the jab/ftilt to keep accuracy if you really want

why would they be? Nintendo wants people to pretend those games don't exist and they have the final say on it.

As I said in the first part of my past, because it's Sakurai, and he's the only person that I would expect to handle pretty much any character in a way that would be fitting. Keep in mind that this is the same guy that said he wouldn't include Pacman if he couldn't use his classic design.

I know Nintendo is picking the DLC characters this time, but if I recall, Sakurai had the final say pick on which of those characters would make it in, so if he couldn't get his way on it, I wouldn't be surprised if he'd instead just drop PM and more onto the next choice.

The Paper Mario stage in 3DS and Ultimate represents TTYD with the S.S. Flavion. They could have used Rogueport or The Thousand Year Door chamber as representation, but instead they went with a ship that only appears at the start of Chapter Five. Someone on the team has to actually care about the franchise to pick the more obscure reference over the obvious choices.

Plus it features the whale from PM64, another interesting callback from the series

Fairly sure Genofags are the only ones that would be disappointed, Paper Mario is about as uncontroversial a newcomer as it goes.

I mean, the white outline thing would happen, theres no denying that, although with nonpaper characters around him, it's probably one of the few situations where it wouldn't bother me quite as much.
