What's the red one?

also wondering this

troll image?

>bayo3
keep dreaming

it's from metroid samus returns. some of the extras you unlock heavily implies the existence of evil chozo faction. i wouldn't be surprised if that and the sylux scene in federation force both set up the plot for prime 4

Chozo Memories from Samus Returns. Not sure what OP is implying. Maybe the rumored new 2D Metroid.

Man I forgot about that
Would be interesting

Kamiya confirmed Bayo 3 is dead a while ago with a tweet. The whole "oh he's at the farm with lots of other animals :)" thing.

only 1 of those games is actually coming out in 2021

Nintendo hasn't been good since 2004

I'd sacrifice a million goats to the old gods for Metroid 5

A new 2D Metroid interests me far more than Prime 4. Never got into the Prime games personally. Actually a third person 3D game would interest me the most but Other M poisoned that well hard.

hopefully because this year isn't.

why lie on the internet? he's still saying his "development is going well" line any time he's asked (and he was asked recently in a w101 interview)

If Nintendo makes a new 2D Metroid game it’s going to be another boring, cookie cutter 2.5D linear baby game with sequence breaking patched out. The only way we’ll ever get another good 2D Metroid is if it’s fan made

The 3DS one was quite fun even if there wasn't much sequence breaking to be had.

It was a decent game, but it was really mediocre imo. I mean for fucks sake it had what, like 6 unique enemies in the entire game? It literally had less content then the original Metroid 2 in some areas

I'm so fucking excited for NMHIII. I'll be ok with a delay to Jan 2021 or whatever as long as the NMH1 port is soon and 2 is out by the end of the year.

Metroid 5 is all but confirmed. It's very, very likely it will be released in 2021.

Flat out wrong. Stop posting.

who gives a fuck

nintendo being incapable of having a solid stream of releases every year is unnacceptable and proof that they've completely failed to properly merge their development teams

but of course tendies will gladly swallow whatever nintendo shits in their mouth

meanwhile look at all the sony and microsoft games coming out every month wow

Do you have even a single shred of evidence for that claim

>implying Nintendo won’t deflate all these games until they’re barely relevant again (except Zelda)
We’ve seen this before guys. I love Nintendo, but we have to stop thinking that until their backs are against a wall we’ll ever get a “good” year from them ever again. Looking at that list we’ll probably get Snap and NMH 3, Nintendo will promise us Zelda by holiday and delay it again as usual. SMT V will come out fall 2020 for Japan but be delayed in The US and Europe by 6 months after they retract their statements on a worldwide release.

>guy who leaked samus returns months before announcement said a new Metroid started development in late 2017
>sakamoto straight up mentioned "the next metroid" in a spanish interview back in 2018. he also mentioned that SR had done well and that the next game won't be a remake.
>total silence on twitter from Samus Returns director on what he's working on

No you’re absolutely right, user, this garbage is beyond unacceptable. They merged their handheld and mobile divisions for the very purpose of eliminating these types of droughts. The worst excuse people have is “but you still have a backlog to play” implying that excuses Nintendo’s utter incompetence to do their jobs.

>wattaboutism
go choke on a cock

Absolutely seething. Go your tranny simulator.

if you're lucky maybe 2 of those with actually come out next year

cope

Coping is thinking stuff like Metroid and Zeldas coming out next year. I’m being realistic here because I don’t want to be disappointed.

I'm not interested in any of them on current switch hardware. Docked performance and visuals are sorely lacking and in portable, the big switch isn't sharp enough and too many games don't even meet 720p. For the small switch, too small to be ergonomically viable.

Really hoping for a switch pro in the same size as the original but with a larger 1080p screen, smaller bezels, and a chip that can actually power games like BotW at 60fps in portable mode. Docked should still shoot for 1080p 60fps but could clearly deliver more consistent performance or more graphical bells and whistles.

Just imagine Divinity Original Sin 2, Witcher 3, and Breath of the Wild at 1080p smooth silky 60fps on a Switch Pro, or Doom Eternal in docked mode at smooth 1080p 60fps with functional gyro aiming. Brehs... I'd pay $500 for that. If Nintendo doesn't release that by the end of 2021 I'm going to start officially praying that Apple just straight up buys Nintendo and Switch games just get ported to iOS.

Nintendo in 2017 was better than it had been since 1998.

Galaxy came out in 2008, so you’re incorrect. Nintendo has yet to top Galaxy 2 from 2010. The closest they’ve gotten was in 2017.

A "good year" is really just down to luck that several of their better projects are finished and ready within the same year. I know this sounds cope-ish but it really is a good thing that Nintendo doesn't impose hard deadlines and lets their teams take as long as they need.

Cool, this gives me hope
