>Xbox Live is not becoming free
OH NO NO NO, XBROS
Xbox Live is not becoming free
Enjoy your double-dip paid online console faggots!
It's getting sad at this point
Then why is Halo F2P, what are they doing? So now there's confusion here, does Infinite require Xbox Live Gold? They really need to fire their marketing PR, at first I didn't think they were a problem now I see that they are.
>journalist asks you to reveal your big announcement
>you say no
Didn't the Halo Infinite product blurb say it required Xbox Live Gold? I think it did.
I have no idea why people thought this shit was going to be free, when multiple games at the xbox showing last week said "xbox live gold required."
Then it's not free to play, their PR, man.
Xbros its not fair, it was our turn now...
Free to play in this sense means you don't need Gamepass or buy the game to play it. It will be free download from Xbox live but you need Gold to play it.
GAME JOURNALIST: So the rumor is you're going to announce Xbox Live is going free at the August show. Is that true?
MICROSOFT: Oh, well, we were going to save it for the show, but since you asked...
>"The update to 'Xbox online service' in the Microsoft Services Agreement refers to the underlying Xbox service that includes features like cross-saves and friend requests," a Microsoft spokesperson told GameSpot. "This language update is intended to distinguish that underlying service, and the paid Xbox Live Gold subscription. There are no changes being made to the experience of the service or Xbox Live Gold."
Then this news wasn't big at all, why did they make such a big deal out of this? It's literally nothing.
HAHAHHAHHAHAHAA HOLY FUCK. At least PS+ gives good enough games to justify it's price unlike Xbox Gold which gives mediocre to piss. Not to mention you don't need PS+ to play online only F2P games. I feel sad for Xbros who has to pay 10 dollars a month for online + gamepass now since Microsoft decided to double dip.
Shill
They're lying
What the absolute fuck are they doing lmao
because now they can advertise that you can play halo for "free" with Xbox live gold.
>Then why is Halo F2P
So everyone can try it like fornite and they can pump it full of microtransaction silly Xbot.
it's obvious they're saving the announcement for their august showcase
Because PC players aren't playing a subscription to play a fps.
Xbox requires gold even to play free to play games unlike evil Sony.
>I feel sad for Xbros who has to pay 10 dollars a month for online + gamepass now since Microsoft decided to double dip.
So for Xbox you're gonna need two (2) subscriptions. That's ontop of netflix, spotify or whatever else you use. Microsoft is a cancer xbros. You will come to know this like PC users have known for decades.
xbros...
Get out marketers
>It will be announced in July!!!!
>It will be announced in August!!!!
THATS IT
I DECLARE FOR SONY
Game Pass Ultimate (Xbox Live Gold + Game Pass) is $15. So for $160 a year you get to play online, get Games with Gold, and you get Game Pass. PS+ isn't a better deal.
At this point, I'm just getting this thing for Halo, like with Nintendo on Metroid, I'm glad I don't dick ride Nintendo or Microsoft, Jesus fuck.
$180 I mean
>Then why is Halo F2P
Microtransactions, dipshit
>justifying paying to play games you own
Eat shit you stupid shill fuck. Both Sony and Microsoft are retards
I'm on PC so I don't pay for either. It would be funny if Sony actually dropped the sub now that MS has dropped the ball (again). Can't see it happening though.
>micro
>soft
Whiteboi I...
PC WINS AGAIN BABY
user, you can buy halo on PC so you don't have to waste your time with getting this thing
How is $10 to play hundreds of games a bad deal? Why would I pass that up? It's less than a movie ticket.
>$180/year
>this is fine
No, kill yourself. Fuck service models and fuck games as a service.
Sony will never do it. They make too much money of it. Consoles are officially dead
Fuck off, I don't play Halo on PC, enjoy your shit version with bad controls where controllers win out on everything, Xbox or nothing for Halo.
I can play all those games for free on PC
All right. I don't pirate.
>At this point, I'm just getting this thing for Halo
But its on PC, they even put it on Steam instead of trying to force their fucking abysmal Microsoft Store again
They were doing that when it wasn't F2P.
They got rid of the yearly Gold subscriptions because they intend to increase the price to $70 a year and are giving it a new item number. I called it.
>there are people who have to subscribe monthly to play the games they bought online
