Mario Galaxy 1

Nobody told me this was kino, this is the best 3D Mario I've ever played.

It's so good, why didn't anyone tell me it was this good?

Playing on PC is like an HD remaster on a next gen console, it's so good bros.
Play it if you can

(my screens suck but it's a great game)

Everyone told you it was good. It's one of the top rated games of all time. I bet OoT is going to be a sleeper hit for you too, zoomie

I mean the best 3D mario ever created good

>Nobody told me this was kino
come on man
Galaxy 2 is arguably even better

Make sure you collect every star for a special surprise

Not OP but OOT sucks, don't bother. SMG 2 is the game you should play next.

PC chads already playing this in HD

Super Mario Galaxy 1 >>>>>>> Super Mario Galaxy 2

You know it's true

>Switch port/sequel when
I would guess early December should be the HD collection since Pikmin is late October.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Levels in 2 are better but Mario Galaxy unironically has Pure SOUL so it wins out by default. Even after Oddysey, this feels like Marios biggest adventure

Are you me? I started playing it a while ago since dolphin is god (Thank god the sensor bar has such a long cord, I can turn on my wii on the other side of the room and put the bar over my screen) and I loved every single level, the story parts felt like a waste of time though, I swear the people that like them are being nostalgic

Can this be played in Dolphin? How would you gather star bits? I'm guessing you could make a macro to do the spin; I think I'd honestly prefer having a macro do it because using the Wiimote can be slow or unreliable.

>Super Mario Galaxy
>Old
Don't do this to me. It just came out.

I guess you could use a cheat for the star bits, but then there's 6-8 levels with control gimmicks, e.g. the Super Monkey Ball levels.

Maybe its because I was burned out after playing 1 but i didn't really get far into 2

I remember playing it a while back. I used the mouse to collect bits and I think theres a shake wii mote key

you can bind the gyroscope on a ps4 or 8bitdo controller to do stuff

Mario Galaxy was a huge fucking deal when it was out, what do you mean “nobody told you”?

When I did it on Dolphin, I used my controller for movement in my left hand, then used the mouse in the right and mouse buttons for jump and waggle jump. Though I switched it when you had to do the tilty ball parts and just made my dstick control that.

buy a dolphin bar or map wiimote controls to your analog stick

nigga I'm playing this in Dolphin, how do you think I took the ugly screenshots Dolphin 5.00000 doesn't let it work well, but the latest stable 5.0-1227 is great.

Under "General" tab in Graphics set it to Vulkan instead of OpenGL (install the vulkan drivers)

Under "Hacks" you HAVE TO enable / check-th-box "skip EFB Access from CPU", for some reason it makes it work fast.

You collect starbits by assigning the pointer to a joystick, and you can enable autohide so it won't get in your way

yeah, put the pointer on the right stick, wagglin on a face button, and jump on a bumper (so you can press it while pointing at the screen) and it just werks. you'll have to switch the motion controls for the gimmick levels but that only takes like 2 seconds

>2007 was thirteen years ago

I played it using a switch pro controller's gyro in place of the pointer, but the right stick can be used as well.

>old nindies
Don't say that please

Ah the benefits of emulation. Dolphin is excellent; I'm thinking of playing the old GC/Wii Fire Emblem titles, perhaps with one of the mods or fan translations - there are a lot of them out there (Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn both have mods etc). I should play Galaxy and Galaxy 2 now that you mention it.

On the WiiU side, I'm just about to start Wind Waker HD and/or Twilight Princess HD -easily the best versions of both game, capable of playing in Cemu at massive resolutions and other enhancements. Of course, Cemu can play plenty of other WiiU games, including being the most performant BOTW.

Switch Emu Yuzu is thriving too, with many titles ranging from playable to near perfect these days. The only things i'm waiting for in Yuzu is resolution scaling (ie the ability to render above the game's standard res. it was removed awhile ago but will be returned when the feature is polished) and an online play mode (something similar to Citra's online would be great. It allows you to create public or private rooms to invite people to play, others who are using Citra etc. )

I'm also playing this too.
Amazing games, its crazy how much hidden kino's were in the Wii's shovelware library

how did you get Yuzu to run well? Mario Odessey chugs along while NSMB Deluxe and Mario Maker 2 work great
