No, but I've played the original english version as a kid enough times that I can easily play the japanese version without being lost or confused, to the point that it's my preferred go-to way to play the original. Nice try though.

What have they done to the zora mask, swimming with it was extremely satisfying to do in the original, prrobably some of the most entertaining swimming mechanics in vidya, just going fast as shit and spinning like a madman. The 3DS one feels like it was neutered

nah OOT is a good game and majora's mask just isn't. The OOT remake shows off all the greatness of OOT while the remake of MM just shows off all the problems and awfulness of the original.

Aside from stuff like Zora swimming costing magic to use properly (never mind that there's plenty of magic refills everywhere there's enough water to swim), and the ice arrow mechanic being made way less obtuse but also way less fun, it was a pretty good take, yeah. The overall improvements are worth the tradeoff, especially when it came to making the bosses more involved and a bit more difficult.

Yes and no. For every good QoL improvement they also ruined something else, so it evens out
