You ready for the ultimate emulation machine Zig Forums?

>touch controls

lol no

I have no idea how they will fix the screen degrading at the center from folding on regular use

They won't

You can already emulate everything on a 200$ phone retard

>touch controls
I'd rather tongue nigger anus

Could they eventually with new tech.

I kind of like the ds route with hinges.

Main issue with touch controls is it covers the screen. If it's on a separate screen, it COULD be good. Depends on the texture of the lower screen I guess.

>You ready for the ultimate emulation machine Zig Forums?
You mean any modern phone?

>COULD
Lol.

I take notes on an ipad for school. if they'd make the tablet form like one inch bigger, I could replace my iPad with just my phone. Depending on the specs, I could possibly even replace my laptop. That'd be fucking kino.

the main issue is that touch controls dont work the same as physical buttons like the DS had. you wont be playing mario on it

>dude it would be awesome to give up all the openness of a computer for an app store
Society failed us when schools began using chromebooks exclusively. Look what it did to this kid.

>Main issue with touch controls is it covers the screen.
imagine believing this

Battery technology is shit right now, if you use one of these phones as an emulation device then it will get too hot during extended playtimes and it will run out within a few hours.

The main issue with touch controls is the lack of tactile feedback, the haptic feedback that phones have don't come close to the feeling of physically pressing a button or moving an analog stick. Although if you had a third-party case/controller attachment then that could resolve that issue.

You're being hyperbolic and also a faggot. It would be sweet if I could have one compact device handle all my school work. Doesn't mean I wouldn't be allowed to have a PC at home.

And it's as expensive as a good pc.

the folding aspect is going to make them less compatible with mobile gamepads

How is it hyperbolic? The point of all those platforms is to get rid of the openness of PCs which microsoft has lamented from the beginning. If you cant handle the fact that you've been conditioned to think app stores are good thats your problem

The fold 1 is 2000$

It's hyperbolic because using one device or ecosystem doesn't prohibit the use of another. I have an Ipad, an andoird phone and a PC. I have access to all software, not just app store stuff.

>Spending $2k on a phone where you can damage the screen permanently with your fingernail

lmao

People will make new gamepads. If someone can afford to buy a new folding screen phone then they probably won't mind paying for a new peripheral.

On the fence with this one. But this is important: is there a 3.5 mm headphone jack? You have TWICE the amount of phone to be able to fit the fucking jack in there.

No jack = no buy

>Depends on the texture of the lower screen I guess.
Its fuckin glass. How do you think its going to feel?

>headphone jack
Do people really still use wired buds?

so on top of costing around 2 grand you'll need to buy new gamepads too, that's a shit deal

For half the price of the galaxy fold you could buy a GPD Win Max that can actually emulate Cemu

The company that puts a Ryzen 4000 mobile CPU in their device going for this form factor or smaller is going to end up making the be all end all emulation device since they're quite power efficient and capable

Yes. What kind of faggot are you?

>Still wanting a headphone jack
Like you can even afford a fold Pajeet. Stick to your Chinese spyware budget phones.

Call me crazy, but I actually liked the bulky borders and tiny screen that was found on the front of the original Fold. It looked like an 80's movie's idea of what a futuristic device would look like. It hard charm. I'll stick with my Pixel 4

>defending flagship phones having less and less features compared to mid range phones
Consoomer tard

I unironically want a Z Flip because I want to go back to flip phones. I'll probably get a Z Flip 2 whenever that comes out cause my current phone will be ancient by then.
