The world existing, which allows people (dragons) like Mikhail who are genuinely good to exist despite the Drakengard world being filled with the most terrible people imaginable for the most part. It's basically a message of hope, which you also get far more blatantly in Automata.

Most of the progression that provides a lot of character development and reason to Zero is in Route D. For all of the rest of it, you're not given much context for her murder boner she has for the world.
