What if...religion bad?

>what if...religion bad?

W-whoah...that's like, fucking deep, man...

This but unironically. The themes in this game are very solid.

We have better games that talk about that subject.

It's fedora.

a little better than the "yo empires are bad" theme of literally every other FF

You forgot the other fedoramaster FF title.

But it was also good? Summoners Sending the Pyreflies to that other dimension was necessary and only the church of Yevon trained them. It actually becomes a plot point in X.-2 because without summoners doing their work there were a ton of monsters and unsent roaming around.

The MC was one of the most unlikeable ones I've ever seen.

He's the only FF protagonist who actually had a personality beyond being some emotionless "look how brooding and tough I am" emo faggot.

Religion was the only thing holding the world together after the Bevelle/Zanarkand war. There really was no final solution to Sin until the Fayth came up with Jecht and Tidus.

He's a hotshot star athlete always able to look on the bright side and stay cheery and positive even in the worst possible scenarios. 10/10 complete chad material.

Simon and Agrias are faithful believers and are decent people

You act like that's an insult on this board. Do you know where you are? This is the place where everyone jerks off to Vergil from shitty games like DMC5. Edgelords and weebs are the majority here.

Games are about more than just the overall theme or plot.

That wasnt even implied you tard. Its literally just sin is bad, some of the pharisees are dicks and jesus died for your sins.

>That wasnt even implied you tard
Are you retarded? They shun technology because their religion told them Sin exists because of it, when it actually had jack shit to do with Sin. Scientific progress was halted due to religion. Look at how much more advanced the world is in FFX-2.

FUCKING THIS
No wonder so many social reject weebs hated Tidus, he was essentially the popular guy at school that they wished they were

>game made by faggot is against religion
Color me surprised

Bullshit the blitzball stadium in luca was nicer than any albed city

Yeah, and in game they explicitly point out that the tech in Luca is extremely uncommon and that they protect it extra hard because if cities get bigger/more advanced than that, Sin will wreck their shit. Tidus notices that there is still machina used in blitzball and points it out. That's the writers hinting that Yevon is full of shit about machina being unholy because they still use it, they just forbid others from using it.

>There really was no final solution to Sin
The only thing people needed was the knowledge that the Final Aeon and Yu Yevon form the core of Sin and some way of getting inside it. Everyone who makes it to Yunalesca learns about the Final Aeon but is too high off her farts to consider going against her when it's their "duty" to perpetuate the "unbreakable" cycle, and the only reason Auron gets the crew into Sin is because an airship coincidentally becomes available to shoot the shit out of it.

All in all, other people could have done it if only they'd had the drive to do so. And in this case, the driving force was Auron, not anyone or anything else.

And yet machina never defeat sin and religion did

Sin was defeated by Wakka throwing a blitzball at god

HA

HA

HAAHH

Pfff

Zidane was a way better character

Because you're a brainlet. Don't try an deny that. He has one of the best character arcs for a FF MC

Zoomie.

Luca uses magic though. All their screens and shit were sphere tech, or in other words, magic tech

You're just going to ignore the fact that the party would have never gotten inside Sin without the airship's (machina) weapons blowing shit off of sin?

>religion did
Defying religious conventions did.

Rule of thumb for FF tards. Hate the game that follows your favourite one

Until people started forming empires like Egypt and Rome till about 200 years ago religion was pretty much necessary to stop royals from thinking they’re gods and peasants from having no responsibility for their actions. Granted that happened a shit ton anyways but we never reverted to monkeys playing king of the hill.

Yea its a cunty topic at this point. Lie watching a movie or comedian talk about religion. It will inevitably be shit on, but the weird thing is they think thery are making some boldy edgy statment. Instead of realizing they are normy as fuck.
We live in a weird timeline where actually having believe is counterculture now. Unless your a muslim

Is this game better on PS2 or 4. I don't having a PC of remote gaming quality.

PS2. The textures are fucked on 4

>necessary to stop royals from thinking they’re gods
You're kidding, right? Kings ruled because of the divine mandate to rule given to them by whatever god they worshipped. In many places the church piggybacked on the King's rule by providing him religious legitimacy in the eyes of the common man and getting themselves in power in return.

If only they would have the balls to shit on judaism and islam, too...now that I could find somewhat commendable. At least mocking those would require some balls in the current political climate. But no, let's beat a dead horse even further.

Not really. I really like Tidus, he had every requirement to be a rebellious edgy teenager, but he never lashed out at anyone except his absent dad who treated him badly as a kid. And even then, the two make up without some big family drama.
