fun game, when it was active I enjoyed the dungeon randomizer path and just sitting with a group of 3 other randoms cooking and clearing shit
end game was kind of whack in the tower of aids enemies but overall it was time well spent even if the post main game content lacked depth and the loot system has as many problems as any other diablo loot style when the difficulty is pushed

It was a Japanese corporate apology. Which is tantamount to "my boss told me to say sorry to kill your story." Then he never mentioned it again. It's not like in the west where the corporate guy will say he's sorry a dozen times, eventually resign and the company will give $10 million to some civil rights organization (which itself is a cash front for the people who created the news story to begin with). And then after all that, the people will STILL attack him and the company.

For what it’s worth, for a while there Jason was the joke of the internet and was running around like a chicken with its head cutoff. He got so mad he started comparing the sorceress to a “lolicon fantasy” and implied people who like her were pedos. It’s always sickening to see youtubers refer to and praise him now of days seeming to have forgotten all of that drama.

It was also back in the day where cancel culture wasn’t as threatening as it is today. Still, I don’t blame him for apologizing. Sounds like Jason used everything he could for that apology.

Unique side-scrolling beat'em up with RPG elements thrown in the mix. ToM really spiced up end-game but i wished some of the bosses in the upper levels weren't so plague with BS like auto-spells+protect+thundercloud.

I was able to beat Muramasa without too much difficulty. How does Dragon's Crown compare, difficulty-wise?

I find side-scrolling beat'em-ups usually to be pretty punishing

Alright best endgame character? Some people say Amazon because infinite parry, but who else is good?

Depends on what class you pick and whether you solo or not
AI companions can slow you down as anyone but certain classes have a harder time soloing
I soloed quite a bit as the Wizard and had some difficulty but if you aren't stupid and are somewhat experienced with the genre only the later areas become somewhat unmanagable solo as a caster
Elf and Amazon can solo most if not all content pretty easily, fighter is somewhat less self sufficient and sorc is somewhat easier than wizard but still not ideal

With a group I think the game becomes much more manageable without losing too much of the challenge, the final Tower being as challenging as it gets and requiring you to know what you're doing with each class with gearsets to match
Otherwise, I'd say most encounters are pretty hard to lose as a group since you don't have to deal with the hitstun as often

Muramasa main game is actually quite easy. The bullshit in that game comes from the caves of evil like the 100 enemy challenges and night of absolute pandemonium.
Dragon's Crown can get quite a lot harder. First playthrough there's not much other than the final boss. But then they start introducing enemy variants who can and will absolutely shit on you if you don't take them out immediately. Dragon's Crown also has an infinite tower that gets progressively more and more harder, unlike Muramasa where there's a clear end.

I was just looking up sprites from this game.
It's a fun blend of side-scrolling beat-em-ups and RPGs with some amazing artwork. My biggest complaint is that Dragon's Crown Pro didn't add enough content for me. I don't pay attention to video game controversy for the most part but seeing all the outrage over this game around it's release was funny

Still wish we would have gotten the Battle Nun DLC. Honestly, one new character, one new area, and one new boss, I’d have paid 20 bucks easy, and I rarely buy DLC. I think I’ve only ever bought the Bloodborne DLC, and recently ReMind because it was on sale and I wanted the additional super bosses.
