for some reason that was absolutely impossible for me as a kid (the barrel roll and the drive around town specifically), but when I replayed the game later it wasn't that big of a problem. I got gold on the flight school too

Yes. Got all golds in all the schools. Admittedly driving school was the hardest. I'm a filthy casual in 99% of the games I play but for whatever reason San Andreas brought out my inner autist. I 100%ed the game multiple times, platinumed the PS4 version, and one time I beat the game in a single sitting just for the hell of it.
