NO PS4/5 = NO BUY
There is nothing wrong with hundreds of dollars of DLC as long as its fun.
If only the gameplay wasn't such shit after turn 30.
>t. Grimgored DAWI
20v20 was a mistake.
We need different types of leaders, with 5, 10 and 15 size armies. As well as reasons to field them and combat with them.
Legend of Total War here
>dawi
>hard
Explosive underage miners up front and guns behind. Gg ez fungus.
>*Waaaghs you with 8 doomstacks of 20*
Nothing personnel stuntie.
>puts one (1) runelord in middle of box and mashes face on anvil
>blocks 99.99% of all fungus (attacks)
actually I've been thinking that for a while.
Maybe default army max is 10 on a newly recruited leader and can go up to 20 with skill points.
Also, reinforcements take time to arrive and fail to do it if the main army gets routed before that time. Default time 5 minutes, lightning strike on the other leader can increase it further, whereas some skill points on the one going to get reinforced or reinforcing can speed it up.
Also, tomb king style caps on units based on tier.
Nah, they removed way too many features coming from Attila
Why are you like this?
Not until they fix the horde factions
This guy plays on normal
I also feel recruiting high tier units is too easy.
Most factions can consolidate their starting position in
Actuashally, I only play legendary. I found iron man saves and the campaign bonuses the AI get makes it a lot more balanced and fun. Just turn off the combat bonuses, because the AI will get rank 9 units quickly anyway.
That's going in the book, faggot.
>I play on legendary but disable parts of the difficulty
So you dont play on legendary
>When is Zig Forums going to admit it's the game of the generation
Though it's not. It can be, but it's not today.
>horde factions
>sieges
>diplomacy
>balance overhaul aka fucking deathstacks
>unfinished map
>naval battles
>Morathi/Hellbron porn
These are first things that are coming to my mind and I haven't played it for few months.
Personally I would like the game to adopt more resources and crafting. If you want greatswords in armor you should harvest iron, and craft it into gear. Troops replenish if you have manpower and gear, if you are missing one or another they cant replenish.
Sort of what Hearts of Iron does, where you build the units by training troops and supplying gear from factories. It would be cool to say stop High Elves recruiting dragons by taking a provinces which provides dragon eggs.
You would need to redo all the systems though the current ones dont work.
He had a stream yesterday where he had a 1.5 hour battle. It was pretty crazy.
That's why the game has separate difficulty selection for campaign and battle.
Battle difficulty above hard just makes 3/4 of the roster useless.
Only the combat bonuses. Makes no sense why rat slaves should get more morale than empire troops.
Post cute High Elves
This game is honestly kinda shit desu.
Singleplayer is incredibly reliant on ranged units and checkerboard formations just aren't fun to use. In fact the game is so reliant on this, ambushes are actually best played by ignoring the fact that it's an ambush and just deploying your troops like you would normally on a hill somewhere.
Siedges suck.
Garrisons being pulled out to support troops on battlefields and them being automatic instead of having to manually build and upkeep them like in older games means that you will be more or less forced to have two armies traveling in parallel to each other most of the time, which sucks because one will always appear as reinforcement and you don't control their formation.
Unit variety is cool in theory but you'll quickly gravitate to the 3 or 4 good ones and ignore the rest. For the vast majority of factions the strategy is the same, melee are near useless aside from holding the enemy in place so you just get the one that holds out he longest while bombarding them with ranged units, spells and artillery.
Spells are the same, cool in theory but in the end you quickly find out what are the 2 or 3 best spells for any given faction and just spam those whenever possible. AI always knows where you put them.
Interactions between the campaign map and the battles turned down to insulting levels. What map you get is seemingly random, with no way to stage river battles or coastal battles ect. No naval warfare. No weather. No formations. I could go on but it's just depressing.
Looks like Medieval 2 Kingdoms still reigns supreme with modded Attila at close second. A shame really.
Play SFO
Remember going on a conquest through africa in M:TW and beating hordes of trash with your slowly evaporating stack of veterans that simply couldn't replenish in that shithole?
The sand vietnam.
Get out on the other side with maximum dread general and heavy infantry at 1/3 troop count and maximum veterancy.
Enemy fields 3 times more units and 10 times more bodies, sees the look on your general's face, shits their collective pants and fucks off.
Priceless.

Play CTT. Sadly it doesn't fix any of the other issues you mentioned
Tell me more.
What does it do right?
Is this game good for Multiplayer 1v1 battles and does it require dlc to be competitive? I only ever played Shogun 2 and Emperor
Nothing.
I mean it's nice idea and work of one Pollack trying to mod the game to be more lore friendly but it creates even more unbalanced experience.
>with modded Attila at close second.
Any good mods you'd recommend? I tried Fall of the Eagles because it's from the DeI guys but that turned out to be pretty half-baked and shitty
1212
I don't want to play Medieval though, I want to play Attila
