The one and only problem I have with steam is that when it starts with the PC it gives me this retarded pop-up about needing to install service files that looks like Chinese hacker shit because "maintenance" is spelled wrong. And I've fully reinstalled the program several times and it persists, so no idea what it is. If you click accept nothing happens. If you click cancel it just opens steam like always.

But people have written to steam support last week they seemed to confirm that it's legit and that they'll get the spelling mistake fixed, as well as the pop-up itself. It seems to occur when the PC is shut down without manually closing steam, and it does not occur if you run steam with admin privileges.

The majority of people who have this issue began having it after installing the Epic launcher, which is really nice.

I like how it logs me out at random, or friends thing dies, then I have to restart because UPDATE. Click library, nothing happens, click taskbar library nothing happens, ctrl+shift+esc kill steam, restart steam UPDATE. store page, browsing for games, need age verification, first of all ive told you im over 21 several times and purchases ago, second of all why did you lose that info, third of all you've bugged out again IM NOT ALLOWED TO VIEW THIS PAGE, restart steam, back to same game, "ah yes, right this way".

Steam is a buggy mess, combined with win10 its just a cartoon. but whatever, im so used to it I just pin my task manager and have it ready to force-quit everything. The normal retards dont notice or care so I dont care that they dont care, its a piece of shit and they only whine when I accurately point out as much. Half the time I launch games I dont even bother trying the interface because something will get jammed. I just have the traditional games folder. Helps me pick every game I have anyways instead of the games I only have on steam, stops me from the steam ui brickwall and the brickwall of free-time indecisiveness/fomo.

Many a time go by I just look at a wall of games and shuffle youtube, text messages, prep something to eat or drink, and then never get around to playing. Or I look at how soon work, bizzare obligations, or shopping is about to steal my time and just get overwhelmed with the dread of everything wanting a piece of me while demanding I give it a fair chance. Steam fucking sucks and we're stuck with it because we didnt laugh loudly enough at the people that enabled it to expand to this bloated meme of a UI.

Try broadcasting in a game nobody broadcasts, watch that page to check for new broadcasts including your own, nothing. Steam ui must be ran by 4 people, people who dont notice these things I swear just have never explored how shitty it is. They might as well add a "free money" section thats broken if theyre going to promise what they cant deliver with impunity.

the library's new UI is an absolute mess

Yeah it's comfy, doesn't work well for 3D games though. You can do a shitty mouse emulation that's fine for VNs and a on screen controller that's good enough for RPGs.
