Artstyle is awful. Maybe it's a good game but I simply can't stand its visuals.
I really love it. Can't wait for the sequel.
I am moderately excited for the upcoming cross-over content too.
One kickstarter. 3 games. I never had the guts to envision this initially.
An extremely mediocre game and irrefutable proof that IGA has always been a hack like Inafune.
It also has no reason to exist given how Hollow Knight perfected the genre.
It's not very replayable.
If there will be a next game, I'd like her entire appearance change depending on the equipped item, and not just the head dress.
>Hollow Knight perfected the genre
Stop replying to obvious shitposters.
The game looks fucking great though. Obviously I'd vastly prefer pixel art, but the actual composition of the image is generally really good. The 3D depth in the cathedral was great.
Considering they insist on keeping the 8bit style for the CotM games I really hope they'll make the effort to make the next major entry like SotN or at least on the visual level of the GBA or DS games.
The cutscenes fucking suck. Ugly 3D models with shitty voice acting, it should of just been hand drawn portraits like sotn
I like Shanoa's game more.
Won't play it until it ever gets optimized to run properly on Switch. I'll stay a Cursechad instead.
good castlevania spiritual sequel that unfortunately was plagued by backer abominations and the ugly art style choices
also did not reflect the amount of money it obtained in production value
nontheless an enjoyable game
It literally did though. Both castlevania and metroid have no depth at all to the combat
I hope this post wasn't ironic because it's all true
It's fun.
I really enjoyed it and don't regret backing it, especially with the two retro style games we have now. I am kinda feeling sentiments like
I do wish the Switch port had come out better. It's a pretty fucked up way to experience the game for people that can't play it elsewhere.
I didn't mind the English voice acting. I think it was pretty alright
Neither does Hollow Knight
It‘s a lot better than castlevania combat. Imagine if castlevania games would put as big of an emphasis on bosses as hollow knight, it would be shit because the combat is braindead, unsatisfying and the only way to even make it interesting is throwing a bunch of different weapons and abilities at you
Kinda sounding like you're insulting Hollow Knight too with the way you said that.
>join Castlevania thread
>Lololol HK improved on Castlevania and you know what I don't even like Castlevania
Seriously, HK shills need to fuck off from Bloodstained/CV threads and Metroidvania threads in general.
SOTN did.
This but unironically. The 2.5d is far too inconsistent in quality for models and textures. It also doesnt help that it's not fun to replay because I have to keep seeing fucking meme skills and eceleb references.
One of the best Metroidvanias I have played, but SOTN is still the champion.
Played about an hour of it. The sluggish, delayed attacks fucking suck, the moon-like floaty physics are dogshit and the all over the place art direction is absolutely fucking atrocious. I'd expect such "quality" from a cheap dlsite h-"game", not a proper, serious commercial title.
Bought it on Switch understanding I was getting an inferior version (but for some reason am compelled to make my Switch a metroidvania machine) and still had fun. Ton of visual glitches though even after updates with Zangetsu Modes's final boss unplayable for me because of them they're THAT bad. Wish it would have kept to stylized 2D sprites but the 3D models work well enough. Wish the upcoming multiplayer update was actually a co-op campaign instead of some nonsense Vs. mode.
Terrible, especially so when compared to contemporary Igavanias and past ones.
I'll give it commendations for the shear level of customisation but the actual design of the castle, the sub areas and the general theming is not good.
Absolute garbage that didn't even live up to being half as good as SoN, DoS, AoS. Iga is a hack.
It was great. After playing the mediocre, dull, gray and repetitive Hollow Knight, where everything looks like the same black and white turd, it was nice to find a colorful, interesting, well designed game.
