Ifan is connected to the Lone Wolves, to the Elves, to Bishop Alexander (the very first villain of the game), to the entire Rivallon since he was the goddamn body guard of the divine, to normal peaseants since he did a shitload of works, and to the very secret hidden villain of the game.

He's also the best character for the canon ending (giving up the source) since it gives him character development and puts to rest his entire vendetta with Lucian without it being a "hah! i killed thee! vendetta complete!" or a TLOU2 "no no i don't want revenge now".

Ifan also has the most amount of personal dialogues, Fane has the least actually since he barely interacts with the world but to say something like "oh, very interesting, this shall go in my book!".

Plus Ifan feels like leader material, why would anyone follow a faggy mage undead gay?
