It's not like Sony don't pay to get VR exclusives. We still haven't got Ace Combat or Resi7 VR, and I think they had limited time exclusivity on Skyrim and Borderlands 2, but the video didn't say anything about it being an exclusive

Yeah I think the time to claim PC and accessories were more cost effective than consoles has long passed. At this point it probably isn't worth dumping money into unless you're going high end (especially if the new consoles actually can go toe to toe with 2070S/2080S which I'm still skeptical of).
Of course you can get away with not paying for any games and you don't have to pay for online either, so in the long run you will recoup some of that cost, but the upfront price now is so much more than it is for consoles.
