Fuck remedy, it's been 10 years since alan wake came out and all we've gotten was some shitty dlc and a decent side game, fans want alan wake 2 bit instead they tease us with some live action nothing trailer 5 years ago and now dlc to shill thier shit game. If Alan Wake 2 ever does come out im buying it used, they don't deserve my money anymore.

Was Alan Wake actually good? I skipped it after all the drama and bullshit and people didn't talk about it much after.

No it wasnt, I don't get why people care over the SQL
it had some neat ideas, all ripped from, Stephen King cliches which stopped them being that neat, and had gameplay that was fucking dull and repetitive
I pirated it back in the day and still thought it was a waste of time

It's a 7/10 game, gets boring and bland in terms of gameplay really fast.

I just played through it a couple months ago. It's okay. I was expecting it to be a lot better than it was.

Mechanically it's a pretty mediocre shooter but the aesthetic is great (especially for a 2010 xbawks game), and it has some really cool parts that I think stand out in people's memories making them remember it more fondly than they otherwise might

Im down with that. That was their last good game even though the gameplay got tedious.

Sam Lake creates compelling stories and wonderful atmosphere. I just hope they don't waste money on real actors and mo-cap bullshit.

Nah, it was nowhere as good as Max Payne 1/2, it was a different genre of game since it tried to be more into horror, but it simply fails at being scary. The combat gets extremely old and I got the impression the game didn't even have headshots, shooting the body or head made no difference, and the flashlight on things to make them vulnerable mechanic got old fast.

It's actually worse than DP lmao
