Microsoft has clearly stated that they will undercut the PS5 by $100 and will launch one week early. Sony doesn't like being undercut, seeing how they did it to both Sega and Microsoft in the past, and want to do it again.
Sony will never release the preorder information until Microsoft does, and Microsoft will never release the preorder information before Sony.
This will delay the consoles until Fall of 2021, if not longer.

Nah, they have an MSRP in mind. They can't just pick a price based solely on the competition; you have to budget the machines for this. After a few years on the market they can charge what they want, but these companies lose massive amounts of money on hardware at launch.
