Its a shame these games were financial disappointments, KONAMI tried to take their 2D titles and transition them to 3D, but it never really worked out for them.

They didn't deserve to be financial hits. They were as middle of the road as it got, soundtracks aside. Just think of all the better action-adventure games around at the time.

Most things 3D IGA touched turned into financial disappointments, the most successful projects he worked on was Tokimeki Memorial and SoTN. Still Elder Gate for the PS1 looks like a pretty cool rpg, shame it has not been translated.
