Fighting game players:
Explain to me, a non-fighting game player, why you guys insist on inputting zigzag cheat codes on one of these things to perform basic actions in a game when there's literally a keyboard with a hundred buttons right in front of you.

You can do zigzag motion on kb too. If special moves like dp/flashkick didn't have inputs they could be abused to break the game. See SFIV3D Guile where you can tap the screen to get instant flash kicks and actually cheat your way to victory.
the most fun part of playing fighting games is using a stick
Play this shit if you want 1-button specials
>Zig Forums is still coping about dp motions
all my normie friends can do them
on pad
and never questioned them, they even shit on characters without dp or qcf motions for being "easy"
Even if there was 1 button dp moves you'd still get bodied.
wait until you find out about korean backdashing or taunt jet upper
see this:
Double tapping on keyboard/pad is retarded
double tapping on stick is not
it's that simple
Granblue has one button specials. Go play it.
OP is retarded but how does one even do the whole input of backing away and then going forward+punch?
you mean charge moves? like sonic boom?
Because it's fun, the input method is part of the gameplay. That said, needing a full keyboard to cover all the moves of a stick and 4 buttons just increases the input complexity in a different (more boring) way.
can't wait for the league fighter to come out we'll have a freakout like this every day
Yeah. Just how far are you supposed to go back and how fast are you supposed to input the other two?
HAHAHA OP, UR GOING ON SCRUBQUOTES FAGGOT
Just take the loss and move on holy shit how does he stay that mad for so long
>Doesn't play the game the intended fucking way
Jesus christ
you don't have to go back
you can hold down-back to guard and stay still while charging, you can charge during a jump forward, you can charge during other attacks animations or before the round starts
what matters is that you had a back input held for the required amount of time, and then do the forward + punch very fast
the charge time should be around 40 frames or something, it depends on the character and the game
For Street Fighter, I'm pretty sure you can even start charging while a Critical Art animation is playing.
I'd argue that stick balances out the meta. Keyboards certainly have their advantages in 3D fighters where directional inputs are so much easier to execute.
It's the same motion, what are you trying to say?
Mashing only buttons is boring
more like the meta is balanced for the stick
kbd in tekken is a joke on hitbox/keyboard but it's not really that hard anyway
ewgf is easier on pad, keyboard and hitbox than on stick
There needs to be a literal execution barrier when playing against your opponent
It’s just part of mastering the game
Frame one invincible moves shouldn’t be accessed with one finger
WASD or DS4 Dpad? hitbox is too expensive for me. have a stick i could put mod tho
ASD Space
for Tekken* forgot to mention
I prefer pad but I like Fighting Commander over DS4. Don't know what would be best for 3D fighters.
that sounds nice actually. can't mod that onto my stick easily tho like WASD
keyboard should be easier than pad and stick but I never tried it
>he doesn't know
Protip, dps are just folded in half fireballs
It's fun
i'm still kinda stuck on PS4 which doesn't support keyboards for T7 but i've been sick of the online there anyway so i might just try keyboard when it goes on sale for PC
just play with a stick like real men do
Comfort, that's literally all that matters. It's why some play pad, or hitbox too. I use to play in arcades so it's familiarity mixed in with a little nostalgia.
Daily reminder for anyone actually new ITT that everyone says get a hitbox or play on pad instead of stick,l. Sticks are great but objectively worse and have a steeper learning curve. You can play on literally anything and win.
>Implying everyone ITT isn't just people with a decent level of experience falling for the world's most transparent bait, including OP
Kinda offtopic, but just learned that hitboxes (arcade "sticks" with WASD, right?) make charge motions easier. Why is that allowed in a competition? Or why hasn't everyone maining a charge character switched to hitboxes?
i tried, stepping is so much more effort than even DS4 though i feel crippled. doesn't seem worth learning for months when i can just use buttons and be fine right away
...
it took a month for me to get used to stick coming from ds4, haven't even played that much
and that's for tekken, in sfv it didn't take me more than a week, it feels more like a game designed for stick
arcade stick with WASD would be a mixbox, hitbox is only buttons aswell but the directional buttons are in a more comfy position and bigger like the regular face buttons on sticks
TOs are faggots with no balls
people who played 20 years on stick just fine might not want to switch
There's a universal 2 button dp/sweep/throw/overhead mechanic on P4AU and that shit was fun as fuck. Kusoge but fun as fuck.
