>2 shit cases
>2 okay cases
Why do people overrate this game so much?
2 shit cases
It's more like:
>2 okay cases
>1 really fucking awful case
>1 really fucking great case
because i want franziska to step on me
It's broadly the most shit on game of the original trilogy tho? that said all of the cases are still good, just not great and also
It's not overrated, people consistenly rank it as the lowest one of the original trilogy.
The one good case it has is really fucking good though.
>2-1:meh tier
>2-2:great tier with an amazing twist
>2-3:shit tier
>2-4:god tier, top 3 case in the series
Overall, 2-2 and 2-4 carry the game and make it pretty decent over all
This
That at least had 2-4, 3-5 is the overrated one.
2-2 is the best 2nd case in the series.
>3-5
>Overrated
Pick none
If it wasn't for 2-3 being the worst case in the original trilogy, JFA would be considered a lot better.
Mia is best girl, Iris is cutest girl. But FUCK I want to be Franziska’s bitch boy
JFA is proof that people just fellate the original three because they're the "originals". I genuinely enjoyed 4-6 more while JFA made me almost drop the entire series.
what do you mean, JFA is overrated? it always gets the shit treatment as the unremarkable sequel in between the first PW which was, the first PW, and T&T which had a gripping storyline and a tragic, edgy and convoluted ending.
if you wanna talk overrated, talk about Miles or Apollo. Edgeworth's wank material for the entire fanbase and Apollo literally discovered the truth behind an entire nation's religion and overthrew its regime in one single case
I only played 1, 2, 3 ,Apollo and Investigations.
Are the other games in the series worth it?
Because the game gives you the lowest case before one of the best, your expectations after 2-3 are so low that a very good case (2-4) becomes God tier to many people and they look past the rest of the game.
Investigations 2 is 100% recommended.
5 and 6 aren't as good as the original trilogy but still worth playing.
also, fact: the timeskip between T&T and 4 should have NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED, and it crippled the entire franchise's storyline by artificially aging the characters for no fucking reason. only Ema and Maya came out better as a result of it.
or, if they really wanted a timeskip, the writers should have explored the Gavin's backstories more, or include some past trials like what 4-4 shoehorned in
2-4 isn’t my favorite case, but to say it isn’t one of the best is just silly. It’s what makes Ace Attorney work. The intensity is dialed to 11, there is so much pure bullshit and insanity going on, and the villain is so despicably evil
Every game should've had it's own new cast if you ask me. Great Ace Attorney was on the right track, but splitting the story over two games was a mistake.
The worst part about the timeskip isn't the 7 year gap itself, but rather the fact that the game pretty much says everyone sat around doing jack shit during those years, which severely limits the kinds of stories they can retrofit into the timeskip.
>intensity dialed to 11
>pure bullshit and insanity
>villain is so despicably evil
*cough* Turnabout for Tomorrow *cough*
I fucking loved 5, I don't care what people say. Every case besides maybe the penultimate twist (but I was so shocked it was only later I realized it was eh) was fun. The DLC case is one of the best in the franchise. Blackquill exceeded my expectations beyond belief and for a new detective, Fulbright really grew on me.
whyd he have to be the retarded phantom bros
it has 1 shit case.
Takumi didn't want to use Phoenix, he wanted a whole new cast because Nick's story was essentially done. Capcom forced him to use Nick, which forced the usage of the timeskip and all of the other issues.
>he thinks 2-2 and 2-3 were bad cases
Unironically really plebian taste. Both had really well-crafted subplots with great character motivations.
>Another case is good
>Therefore this one isn’t also good
Okay
I think faggots on Zig Forums hate 2-3 because they find moe annoying.
People only like the DLC case and Blackquill from 5.
AAI2 is the most overrated entry.
I think most people hate circus aesthetic in general but I actually enjoy clowns and think they're endearing so I loved Moe and the whole case.
i've heard some other retards argue that in the 7 year gap, Wright was prepping the jurist system and the MASON system, which i find is total bullshit. i mean, the entire shtick of the AA games is that all defendants are guilty until proven innocent, but Wright gets a free pass to fuck about with the legal system and invent pseudo-time travel. you can't be disbarred and live like a hobo AND ALSO be a fucking mastermind
