What's funny is that unlike them, I got these games because they were cheap, and I hated both of them - but I liked SADX more because of the Game Gear unlockables, which sucks that every version after removed them.
They blame it's fame on nostalgia despite seethingly ask for Adventure remakes. They also blame the nostalgia pandering trend to stay because this game "represents" that despite Generations coming first.
A smart company like Capcom would have just made Mania like games since 2001 and all 3D Sonic games are the modern redesign so that way this split would never have been an issue in the first place.

I'm glad adventure is dead, modern SEGA could never do it justice and Adventure was never amazing anyway. Classic was always the best era of sonic and if you disagree you're retarded.
Imo I feel like SEGA could handle classic era tone and style if they just had better talent that actually likes Sonic over at SoJ. But they'll never get anyone to do the gameplay justice unless they outright hire Taxman as executive programmer for the gameplay.

Don't know if it counts but I really like Adventure 2. Played it when I was 13 or so. But Sonic the hedgehog 1 and 2 were the first games I ever played on the megadrive when I was like 3 or so. I liked Mania a lot.
