What the fuck were they thinking?
What the fuck were they thinking?
What the fuck were they thinking?
fat american hands
How do you play with that?
Was it perfect?
Dpad is probably hardly ever used, so you just hold the stick.
Three grip positions, depending on game. Left + middle, middle + right or left + right.
None of the existing controllers are perfect.
>Look up this controller
>Look up a youtube video of it
>Never saw it before
>See this
I don't know about the most recent iteration of the Xbox controllers but the D-pad is fucking shit on the Xbox 360 and the Xbone. It was great otherwise, but I just can't get over how bad the D-pad is. For me the PS4 controller is superior, and the N64 controller is the biggest piece of shit I've ever had the misfortune of holding - its analog stick is a tragedy.
What the fuck were they thinking?
What the screen is for?
>games arent for babys
>with baby hands
>this is a man's controller
>OP need not reply
Wasn’t the screen on the memory pack that slide into the controller or something?
>Why, yes, the Duke fits my hands perfectly, how could you tell?
Zoom zoom
>tfw you have it for a pc because they re-released The Duke and it feels just as good.
holy zoomer
It's a controller that most closely resembles how you would handle a fat cheeseburger, it is perfectly adapted to american hands
Yes. Can’t believe people are too young to remember this. I’m fucking old.
Give me one reason why the PS4 d-pad is better than the Xbone's.
two for your hands, third one for your mouth
it was a design ahead of its time
>tfw going through MCC with Duke
>tfw there's actually a controller layout named Duke
It seems silly now, but they were giving people to option to grip it near the D-pad or analog stick. Analog wasn’t standard at the time of release.
It looks ugly but this is one of the more comfortable controllers ever to hold and all the buttons are in easy reach.
GTFO
>17 shitposts and no real answer
I guess it's up to me
Xbox dev team realized too late they needed a lot more components for the thing to work than they anticipated and release date was around the corner to they just made the controller a fat fuck and shoved all hardware in there the best they could. After release, in time they fixed the design, minaturized components and we got pic related.
The ps4 dpad is a fucking tragedy what the hell are you talking about. The ps3 dpad was infinitely superior
RIP
Baby hands cope
Now thats something I haven't seen in a long time
Kek
Had a memory card/tamogotchi thing. The dreamcast also had online play, a whole generation before the other consoles, and (it's own) keyboard (possibly mouse too) support. It was ahead of it's time.
I have a dreamcast-it looks stupid but it's actually really, really comfy. Your fingers curl around and grab under that circular disc of a thing so you're holding it, not just resting it and trying not to let it fall out.
buttons on dreamcast are bad
they somehow went so cheap that the dpad and the lettering impressions on the buttons were actually fucking sharp and would scrape skin off your fingers every time you depress them, took weeks before they would wear down.
The form factor was OK for single stick.
I thought the og controller was fine at the time. It's a victim of early internet memes
unironically better than the dualshock 4
