It's not just that I want to play XI user. It's that I want other people to play XI. My last major memories of playing XIV are when the election hit (although I played as late as Shadowniggers) and people started asking me if I was ashamed to be an american. The community in XIV is infested with pedophiles, attention whores, people who get upset when you give them advice on how to play the class they queued in with, and no one is willing to be chill. Contrast that to my experience in older style MMOs. Everyone is nice, chill, and I don't have people bringing up politics when I'm just trying to clear content so I can do the shit that matters with my friends.

I hate XIV so much. It isn't so much that I want it gone as it is that I want it to improve. It's like a disease though. People will tell you it's better than it's ever been before and then they'll admit later that in hindsight it was shit.

I have people telling me that Heavensward is the best expac. I fucking quit when that garbage came out, and I have no idea how people can say with a straight face that Heavensward was good when on launch it took ages to hit 60, and I really didn't want to level my other classes because of how absolutely terrible the exp rate was. They made each dungeon as unfun as humanly possible, and I STILL remember that pre-50 dungeons gave more exp so people just ran dickhole's for the first few levels.

Just remembering the experience makes me want to vomit.

I think most people mean that HW had the best story. If they think it was the best expac for content they clearly weren't around for the massive draught that was only surpassed this year thanks to corona-chan, but there are somewhat more options for side-content now than we had then at least.

Most people also seem to agree that Stormblood's story was trash and content generally gets better, but we get less each year.

Kinda, but it also happens to be painfully inconvenient aside from not being WoW.

I'd love a game like XI with XIV's pacing and accessibility. Maybe integrate the "dancing" with XI's slower system.

Like 3 hours of new gameplay, 10 hours of unique content, and a hundred or so of replaying stuff if you wanna grind. Most of the patch is story and QOLshit for existing content.

Took me around 250 hours to get to Stormblood, but I dicked around with other jobs for a lot of time and spent quite a few hours alt-tabbed, so I would say around 100 hours of content with a new free trial

He means the free trial, user. And that trial goes to 60 now, you get the entirety of ARR and HW now and only have to pay when you reach Stormblood.

I refuse to play XI until they fix their account system.
