the fact we didn't get the canned MP2 is a disgrace

Wario Land 4, one of the greatest achievements in history.

Sapphire holds more sentimental value to me, but Emerald is obviously just an upgrade on that.

>Literally the worst of the three

I never played the SNES original.

Clocked so many god damn hours into this game getting... EVERY THING! Was also an amazing feeling crushing my friends who had the Blue Version and the most powerful chip in the series Folderbak. Even doing the secret areas on White version was more harder because you had to manage decks around multiple Program advances rather than Blue version you could just use 1 program advance then keep recycling the deck.

No contest. Well actually it's AW2 but I like this art better.

Battle Network is kino. I can't wait for the Legacy Collection to be made so I can bypass all the version swapping BS though.

I have to get around to playing this shit again. I was filtered by it so hard as a kid.

Never gave these a chance as a wee lad. Think I'll give it a shot now, anyone know how to get it wirelessly rather than plug in my sd?

>Press program

I'm sure the supposed incest themes are just mistranslations.

BASED

It's rough starting out because every chip you start with is complete ass, once you get to like 3rd chapter thats when you can access the store and just get the quick few free chip trader chips and you start to make trash virus encounters less of a pain to just delete them instantly. Then collecting 100 bug frags for the big Gigachips exclusive to each version is not very hard either (Navi Recycle for White, Folderback for Blue)

And it's one of the few games I enjoy the post game content, the secret area will really give you a run for your money! Getting all the 7 stars next to the continue option was a nice treat and very rewarding!

Just play 1, 2 and 3. 1 is okay if you have nothing to compare it to but it's a massive downgrade if you've played any of the sequels. Play 1 for as long as you can stand but don't feel bad if you have to put it down and skip straight to 2. Pretend 3 is the end of the series but if you absolutely HAVE to play another one after 3 skip straight to 6.

the GBA is probably the best handheld ever made
fite me

The DS Lite is the best one.
It's also retrocompatible, so you can play GBA and even black & white Gameboy cartridges on it.

when that SP came out... my god... gone the days where I would use a flash light at night to play mario golf GBC or pokemon. I got my SP for christmas in 2003 with Megaman and Bass and boxing day picked up the first golden sun and played it till 2 am in the dark because of the light screen.

Thanks anons. Dusting off the old PSP Go now.
I lived in the middle of nowhere as a kid so keep that in mind, but I had no idea this series even existed. Nobody else I knew did either. But pic related was very popular.

DS Lite is fragile as fuck. Every one I've ever owned has gotten a crack in the chassis just from normal opening and closing over the years. Original DS was the last console to be made from indestructible Nintendium

hard to pick a favourite. GBA is one of the best consoles

what is the best way to play GBA these days? my SP has a broken R button and playing on PC isn't as fun. is there like a decent knock-off on the market? or do you just look for a second-hand SP

Wario Land 4 is great. I played it last year. The Game Mechanics are great. The way Wario interacts with enemies to gain power-ups is fun to play with. Everyone should play it at least once.

I have a re pro version of this game and it crashes every 2 minutes, it's unplayable

Consider emulating it on your phone as the control is dogshit easy.

Dragonball Advanced Adventure. Its ONLY flaw is that it cuts out large swathes of the manga's story but you know what? A Dragonball game that puts gameplay over telling the fucking story that everybody knows again is nice.

How is this compared to the PC version?

I think the GBA was pretty weak, especially when you compare it to the wealth of the GB(C) that came before it and the DS after it.

The pokemon games were alright I guess? Metroid Fusion was good. Mario vs Donkey Kong was really cool. Actually that's probably going to be my pick just because the movement was so cool and it was nice to see Mario die from big heights again.

Honestly most of what I remember from the GBA era is unremarkable ports of SNES games. The 'mainline' Mario games on GBA were all remakes, Mario Kart was a remake, probably other shit I'm forgetting
