The biggest issue with face scanning real people is the increasing trend of utilizing celebrities resulting in more bullshit unnecessary AAA cost bloat as well as the incredibly detrimental school of thought that mainstream games need to be cinematic. A continued push for realism is bad for game quality for a lot of reasons.
