Eeeeeh maybe? It's depends on how "new" it ends up being in the end. Xrd for the most part felt like playing a worse +R, but Xrd has better netcode and more players so I ended up playing it more, but Strive is on that slippery slope right now. If the game was at release what is was from the beta I'd be already giving it the finger. Thank god for that delay and those dev diaries give me a little optimism. If the game ends up being not worse Xrd and still "Guilty Gear" in a sense of the word, then I'll be satisfied. My excitement right now though will tie to what I see until release which isn't really high right now. If they want a new experience for Guilty Gear, I want to see more of that new.

It's basically Ishiwatari and Katano responding to questions specifically about the game. To which thankfully it's not questions like will the game have a dub or other stupid shit like that, but actual gameplay philosophy and responses to direct criticisms people were having. Even if you might not like the answers they give especially if you confuse them explaining their mindset and them saying nah fuck off, it's nice to see them directly acknowledge people's major grips.

The first one was on the beta and even talked directly about stuff like the gatling system and how people thought on contrary to what they've been saying, it's actually harder than the old system and so on. The second one actually have them after feedback to get rid of the shitty moving UI and so forth so they are at least considering everything being asked to them. There's two right now, with a third I think coming real quick in a little bit, but you're welcome to give them your own questions at the end of at least the second diary.

without FB hellish charge and 2S otg he will feel weird. he is fun in +R but would probably just be boring in strive
