What is it with this game's popularity and people getting so assblasted over it? Is it just a bunch of zoomers who can platform for shit?

It's basically a bootleg ninja-warrior / mario party: gang beasts edition™ that went free on PS4 and it's on steam I believe. The physics are somewhat jank to anyone who didn't grow up with the really rough 3D platformers or Super Mario Sunshine I guess.
it's mario party but with only 3 minigame types and 1 of them is shit.
the server is always down whenever I sober or awake.
They just tweeted and it looks like the servers won't be up for a while
Only other people with 20+ wins may refute this list.
Are the servers back or they're still fucked?
It's nothing like mario party
im guessing they paid enough twitch streamers to play it
i got this game today. did i get it at the wrong time?
its exactly like mario party
I'm glad that I'm an unaware old fart
Yeah, the servers are fucking shit. Thank god I didn't pay for this game desu senpai
>nooooooooo why is [thing] populaaaaar
WHY ARE THEY FUCKING UP THE SERVERS SO MUCH?
I love the game, but I'm going to be so mad if they completely fuck up their opportunity over something as banal as infrastructure.
I'm quitting until they keep them up, this weekend is going to be a trainwreck of frustration.
ding ding ding, and we have the winner.
Move Fruit Chute and Fall Mountain out of pure RNG
can you angle the camera up to watch for incoming fruits? those ones seem perfectly skill based
How are you supposed to figure out what tiles are good on Tip Toe other than guessing or letting someone else go?
I am ass blasted by the shitty servers.
>can you angle the camera up to watch for incoming fruits?
Yes
Pay careful attention to the tiles next time
>door dash
you just jump into the shit whirlwind and hope for the best

It's a concpet really everyone was waiting for, but no one actually dared to do it well. Now we got it. This game just needs a bit of follow up with new mods and maps, and it will be huge.
i disagree with egg scramble. Just getting a golden egg and protecting it iis a huge carry to your team, and you can definitely protect an egg alone.
knowing absolutely nothing about how servers work, can someone explain to me how this happens all the time on so many launches?
what causes servers to get overwhelmed by sudden popularity? why do all server issues seem to be solved within 6-48hrs of "maintenance" or whatever they're actually doing?
is it a simple issue of not wanting to overspend dev time on servers before release and underestimating demand? are they bug-hunting or is this yet another terribly designed system that wasn't meant to actually support a lot of players?
I'd understand this if it were 2007 and cod4 was the new shit, but we've been playing massive online game launches for a decade now and so many have been shit like this
>This game just needs a bit of follow up with new mods and maps, and it will be huge.
The game just needs FUNCTIONING SERVERS before it can even think about keeping traction. It's sloughing off huge amounts of people because it's been down for almost a full 24 hours
Sometimes server expectations are exceeded
They expect 40K, 70K turn up
They build up the servers for 72K, 90K turn up a few days later
Contracting for servers without being fucked by a deal by rushing
>someone grabs you
>egg flies up and you stagger
>someone else picks it up
how tf does tip toe take skill
just hang back until near the end then use basic logic to intuite out the path (last 3 blocks are always a straight line to the end)
at least they just tweeted saying they'll have "surprises" for us because of all the problems with the servers. hopefully it's something actually worth this pain, other than that i enjoy the game though
