Because "breathtakingly large monster" is cool exactly one time and becomes a chore every other time you have to fight him. I hope they really cut out that shit in the next game. Duralamadur would have been incredible if they shrunk him down to Najarala's size and made him an actual fight and not some chore.

It's very doable to make a large fight fun. Make Jhen Mohran's first phase a bit more dynamic and it's ana mazing fight. Gore Magala wasn't terrible and Shalamadingong snake also was a lot of fun to headsnipe with GS

Zorah isn't only the most unimpressive large monster visually but also gamepaly wise, btw

>Duralamadur would have been incredible if they shrunk him down to Najarala's size and made him an actual fight and not some chore.
How would you know he would be incredible? The whole fight would be completely different if he was small. And Najarala is one of the worst fight sin the entire franchise.

PC room?

They have no idea how to balance them. If you have a giant monsters then their attacks would be huge too (think an arm/tail swipe for example), and that forces you to make the attack slow therefore wasting half the hunt sheathing your weapon and running away, then running back once the attack is finished. This doesn't happen with normal monsters because their hitboxes are small enough to be evaded through rolling, thus the fights feel more dynamic.

Ceadeus was awesome. Underwater pierce on the beard made short work of him.

That music was so good. The fight may have been a bit tedious to do in MHTri but the music more than made up for it.

Be the change you want to see in the world

>fags on Zig Forums keep shilling iceborne
>cave in and finally buy it
>it's literally all reskinned monsters

I hate you

Flying wyverns are the core MH experience!

I want to fuck with Gunlance which one should I make?

u mad?

You could have looked up the monster list you know.

I don't know if you're in this thread, but if you were in the last thread and told me to git gud. I did and beat Black Veil Hazak. Thanks Zig Forums

I just want underwater back

Ceadeus is not only the worst fight in the series, it’s one of the worst boss fights ever made.

Zorah was literally just a map with weak points.
Of course it was fucking boring.

>not reading reviews first

The people praising World and Iceborne are not fans of Monster Hunter. They're 'people' who saw their chance to be a part of the MH fandom after World turned it into casual garbage and the only way that accomplishment is worth anything is for the the only game they've played to be considered good.

Zorah is worse. Shen and Lao are also very bad. Dala, Ceaddy, and Gog are about the same levels of once was enough. Dah'ren is okay at best. Honestly Akantor and Fatalis are as big as they can get while keeping the fight good

Find the highest Wide shell level you can craft and make that one.

Just make taming monster exit and breathtakingly large monster will be fun

Why wide? Wide is lame.

It unironically gets better after the story. Most of the original world monsters suck and their recolors aren't great for the most part though. Fulgar is pretty much the only exception

Dala was only a chore because his fight was incredibly time-gated due to all the phases, his fight was 100x more interesting than najaralas wiggly bullshit

>Because "breathtakingly large monster" is cool exactly one time and becomes a chore every other time you have to fight him.

Thats entirely untrue, the big monsters can have fights just as interesting as normals, if not more. I did jhen and dahren probably 100~ times and still think it's one of the funnest fights in the games

how do I get a fucking capacity jewel

Bros I've been thinking about it and I might be ready to take the plunge

Because that fight was a fucking chore and a half

Guildmarm.
If she don't call me doodle she don't get the noodle.

He's busy being invisible in MH3U.

Gore is the same size as Nerg.

Get the Mister X one, unironically the one with the most effort put into it.

Gee I sure love how Beardioth forces you to fight it in a tiny fucking room it fits so poorly in that is constantly clips into the fucking wall. No really, absolute genius move. I sure do love being in a cage match with a 20 meter long tiger

>wallbang him fucking EZ as shit twice since he'll hit a wall no matter what way you fire him
>he enrages
>you leave the room
>he follows you
HOLY SHIT SO HARD BRO WHAT THE FUCK

Because all large monsters suck ass to fight. They're boring and tedious.

Vaal Hazak hammer should be able to cut tails it's an axe for fuck's sake
