ACNH missing gyroids is kind of low on the totem pole of my issues with the game. It needs more of pretty much everything, and what little there is to enjoy is hampered by the extremely poor QoL.
However because these are just problems with content and QoL, they can eventually be fixed. They did a decent job at least hearing player feedback in Splatoon, so it's not unreasonable to hold some hope that it will get better.
SS doesn't have this luxury though. The dex is far from the only problem in the game, and I have no hope that any future Pokemon games will be better.
