People getting hyped for Crash 7 after a bunch of godawful games just because it was titled Crash Bandicoot 4 was really, really confusing for me. But the gameplay looks nice so I'm alright with it now, although there's bunch of wasted effort on making Cortex and Dingodile playable and making those stupid filters for levels.

Thing is, not all of those games were god awful. Wrath of Cortex was basically a slightly less fun Crash 3, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Twinsanity was a fantastic game that was released before it was finished.

Never played any of the games past those though.

Why? They look fun and they’re still platforming. It’s not like Cortex is getting into a boring mech or Dingodile having to search empty levels for crystals

This doesn't feel like a crash game anymore. Toys for bob are such arrogant cunts. they take too many liberties and dilute the game with so much unfaithful trash to the point it's completely unrecognizable as a crash game.
I don't want to play as cortex or fucking dingle. I just want crash in a warp hub, Good platforming levels and breaking boxes to earn gems.

People liked the games vicarious visions made. noone complained the graphics were too good. noone complained the animation was too high budget, noone complained the designs were too faithful.
People are complaining the game has been given to a cheap garbage studio literally known for scamming children who have completely undone all the work Vicarious visions have done to repair the brand.
