lol
Someone post the chart that shows the best selling game of every year since the PS2 launch has been something like Madden, CoD or GTA.

NGL, a young me seeing Oblivion on this thing was blown away.

>saves gaming

If you didn't own a 360 you have no soul

from being fun and creative?

>has games

Unironically this

ironic cause the Call of Duty Box literally had no soul

From sony monopilizing

I like the OG 360 but they're notorious for redring and have no wifi so I own the later version.
Later version has stupid touch buttons that I hate.

I had the first one all along

Also on PS3.
PS3 was also a CoD box, just without the first few years of the 360 that were actually good.

Does it still work fine? Everyone I knew that had one either had it redring or the dvd drive started sticking.

PS3 had like 10 times the exclusives

not anymore. I think I sent it back and got it replaced on warranty within the 3 years and then from then on out it worked and died like 5 or 6 years later when the console lifespan was basically ending
it was the original 20 GB pro

That was the PS1 OP.
>Helped usher in bloated budgets
>Ushered in advertising being more important than the actual games with garbage like FFVII
>Helped start the "Games for mature adults such as myself" shit
>Turned a console from a dedicated game machine to a fucking CD player

Yeah, a bunch of movies and Hyerdimension Neptunia.

That sucks dude. You should get a latest edition of it and a bunch of games for cheap if you want right now.
Halo 3 is literally like a dollar in most stores, and the rest of the library is cheap af too. If they ever turn off the Halo 3 servers I want to be the last Spartan online. I tried for it with Halo 2 but we had a power cut.

10 x 0 = 0

And not one of them are good. Literally the only decent game it has is Demons Souls and Dark Souls 1 was better in every way.

>Turned a console from a dedicated game machine to a fucking CD player
There was a story on here many years ago of some guy who was like 7 at the time and his dad bought a PS1 and only used it for CD players for his stereo.
God, imagine how blueballed that would feel.

I'm good
I'm OP and I never want to play that shit console again
nearly sucked the life out of me after how amazing the PS2 was

The 360 surprisingly had better weeb games than the PS3. Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, a huge collection of shmups (still the best console available for arcade games).

I liked the 360 but the later it got in its lifespan the more updates, DLC and trash releases started to come out when devs realised what they could get away with.
I think it was a good console that accidentally all the software from then on.

it was a fantastic console until around 2010-2011. early 360 games played just like PS2 games, just with better graphics. I loved Kameo.

I just bought a PS3 for modding. That's one big downside to the Xbox 360: they didn't let you replace the HDD. You had to use their stupid fucking caddie things with its own file system.

I wouldn't bother owning one unless I could pirate on it these days. As far as I know, JTag is harder to do.

You can find 250gb xbix HDDs for around $10 now. They're cheaper than dropping in a standard PC HDD

but you know damn well the culture was Xbox centric

based, Morrowind on the OG xbox was something else too

playing morrowind on xb1 is still great. you get 4k 60fps, and significantly faster load times. I always preferred morrowind with a controller.

Morrowind was pretty good on the OG Xbox. One of the things that held it back was slow movement speed/LOADING AREA.... In Oblivion you ran, and ran, and ran...

that stuff never bothered me honestly, it was just great to have such an open ended experience with that duke controller
sounds pretty radical, I can't wait to see if the new fable gives me the same vibes

Well yeah, PS3 had shitty online and a shitty controller. It's a product of Sony losing, not something that existed because of Microsoft. All the best selling PS3 games are the same has Xbox, all sports and shooters.

I remember constantly spamming restoration and conjuration spells while running between objectives in oblivion. everything felt productive with zero downtime.

God yes. Don't forget jumping.
