Why does Zig Forums act like this gem is mediocre?
Only got 4hrs on ps4 back when it first came out, probably aiming with a controller made combat sluggish and not enjoyable. Picked it up 9hrs ago and have been playing since on PC, much more enjoyable experience.
Hopefully doesn't get too boring in the end.

I tried playing this when it was on PS Now but I couldn’t make it past an hour. I thought it was really boring but I might pick it up again because Aloy’s midriff is god-tier.

I can't stand her at all nor the acting nor the other characters. The VA is absolute shit. Only the combat is decent. But so far it's just been dodge and shoot weak spot. Only playing it since I finished the masterpiece Death Stranding a few days ago and theres not much else to play.

She's awful. She has the worst case of "nu-Tom Raider Syndrome" I've ever experienced. Every single fucking thing you do, picking up a weapon, spotting an enemy, looting something, jumping, the writers felt the need for her to constantly be commenting on everything and constantly be saying some variation of "I can do this". Also whoever the VA director is seems to have given the actors only two words for how their characters should act "Determined" or "Snarky"

The entire game reeks of the design team throwing a bunch of "cool" ideas into a hat and drawing them out one by one. They picked out cavemen, dinosaurs, and robots then plopped it all into a generic ubishit open world.

No, almost all the weapons are similar with the exception of some traps. Melee is fucking horrendous and you have almost no interaction with the enviroment outsied context sensitive traps on the world.
Almost all enemies are jsut roll and shoot the weakspot witha few one like the sniper (tiger? i belive) actaully changin the feel of combat.
And the human enemies and AI in geenral is beyond stupid.Quest were also boring and antagonist too amking alloy just a meh character.

Horizon and Tsushima are great example how terrible the LOD past 5 meters
