They're fine in tactical shooters but they're out of place in genuinely fast games unless they're restricted to specific weapons. If you're moving at a speed where even experienced players are going to miss some bodyshots, getting headshot by some autofire weapon is borderline RNG, or just straight-up RNG if the weapon has random spread.

what the fuck kind of question is this? is anyone seriously going to complain or defend headshots? like they've been into games for literally multiple decades and no one has ever complained about them. I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. Any good sniper would rather be overhealed, Amby is beyond useless. It is fun headshotting people with it though.
To be fair, it was pretty fucking dirty if you had a zoom script binded. I think I'd be more alright with the nerf if they would just remove the Razorback from the game already so I can take a different revolver for once.
I 3 shot snipers with the l'etranger most the time, you don't need an amby to kill a sniper. Besides if you wanted to 2 shot a sniper you could just use the enforcer.

In my experience, a lot of the snipers with shitloads of hours will sometimes pull the flick of the century and headshot you before you can even fire the third round. Enforcer is strictly worse at the Amby's job if you can hit heads reliably since outside of that single boosted shot you're just using a gimped stock revolver.

I dont mind snipers until they are comp players that know how to position and move perfectly.
If you're good enough to hs a strafing scout in short range about to meatshot you, you deserve the kill.

Same shit with backstabs, a perfect attack to their back can just randomly not work despite performing the animation and making a hit noise, but then lightly tapping their pinky finger will count as a backstab, hitreg is fucked

Headshot hitbox should be smaller than the head, because you can survive and still stand after getting your mouth blown off. Damage for sure, but if in a particular game you can still fight after getting shot in the chest, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to do it after getting your nose blown off.
Worse yet if the hitbox includes helmets.
