faggot

I wouldn't listen to it on a daily basis but it fits the game pretty well. It's so hyper.

Thats true, I mean its perfectly serviceable for a hack n slash/ action game but its just too edgy for me.

Specially vocals and lyrics sound like metal high school bands to me.

The soulsborne games get too much praise for their soundtracks. All of them consist of mostly okay tracks with just a handful of amazing songs mixed in.

I agree with this, most of them is just big choral chants and people eat it up.

Its fun for your first time but 5 games straight turns it into uninspired garbage. Sekiro had a more imaginative OST imo.

I particularly like this one:

Mainly a problem with Dark Souls 1 and 2. DS3 and Bloodborne have a unique piece of music for every major boss.

The Umineko OST. I've seen it being praised and praises on the internet every single time the VN was mentioned. Turns out it was a huge mess without a proper direction in its motifs and themes. Not only most of the tracks were bad and unmemorable except for a few ones, the VN also had huge issues with sound direction and pacing overall. Great story, but it was poorly presented and the music which should have helped the reader digest it more easily was a fucking chore to listen to.
>it's a "Rose plays again" episode
>it's a "every single tense sound shares the same melody" episode

I can say the same about TWEWY and its cringe teenager songs. People have strange tastes

Agreed on TWEWY, any bad examples for Umineko? never played it.

Dragon Quest gets a lot of praise for its soundtracks, but to me they're so generic that they sound like stock music.

As a recent one, I'd say Death Stranding. BB's Theme is amazing, but the rest of the tracks are licensed crap and/or pretty forgettable.
It fits the game, but it's massively overrated just like everything else about MGR. Glad I got the game on sale because I'd feel ripped off if I paid anything over $20 for it

Doom '16 and Eternal. People hype it up to high heaven as one of the best OSTs ever, but personally I think the experience of the game would had been the same if I had just replaced the songs with some Iron Maiden. Having seen his GDC talk I can say Gordon is obviously a very passionate and talented individual, but I don't see myself missing his work with the upcoming DLC.

I personally love them, I kind of grew up with them, and they might sound generic but the franchise is 30 years old or so. I think its charming in the same way toriyama's art is but I get the complaint.

I'm so sorry about your faggotry.

Bought it at launch, regretti carbonara for me. I mean I love myself a hack n slash but it wasnt even my favorite that year i dont think.

From what I've heard it does sound like well put together power metal, any of the songs have lyrics? havent played either

I personally don't care about any OSTs that feature generic orchestral tracks or just general non intrusive soundtrack that just kinda there so it isn't quiet all the time. I like music that pops out and makes you pay attention to it.

Not really. There are some choirs in edge cases, but those are far and few inbetween

SMT nocturne has the single worst soundtrack I've ever heard in a video game
how they managed to come up with a masterpiece OST like persona from this garbage is beyond me

I find TWEWY's OST unremarkable, but not notably bad.

>le haha quirky 8-bit theme
eat shit

Nocturne has a good OST, but it's done a disservice by the low sound quality.

that's the point

>generic screamo metal with fart sounds
you have to go back

Boy do MGR fans have the most concave of penises..

Came here to post this. The soundtracks are a great example of modern overproduced MacBook metal. Music for people who like the sound of bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Devin Townsend.

you have to be over 18 to post here

Unlimited meme potential

Damn, your ears have to be leaking shit if you spout bullshit opinions like that.
Hopefully, you can grow up and acquire some actual good taste in the future.
