It will be funny to watch you try to refute this
Saging this bait thread.
It's funny to watch you still seethe 25 years later
No I agree, like many nintendo titles this one is also overrated.
I personally liked the gba Metroids more.
>JUST SHOOT RANDOMLY AT THE WALLS AND FLOORS UNTIL YOU FIND THE HIDDEN ROUTE, BRO
shit game.
seethe brainlet
t. brainlet
Shooting randomly like a faggot doesn’t make you intelligent, it just means you have too much time on your hands and need to get a life
It's funny cause it's true.
name one unit of time you did not waste by writing and posting this comment
It set a standard and aged like wine, you just got filtered by the control that are a little hard to get at first
Also B is for running in case you can't go past the bridge
isn't the purpose of any game to waste time?
This is an example of a shit SNES game that is overrated.
Visuals are great, sprites are large, Samus's sprite is very expressive and has shit like breathing animations which is well beyond any other game Nintendo released for the system. Environments are colorful and varied but manage to maintain a gritty tone to them.
The exploration is fantastic and sequence breaking is fun as fuck.
That said the game isn't perfect. The audio is really muddy and low quality, especially for a first party title. Capcom's SNES games blow this way out of the water in terms of sound. The soundtrack isn't amazing honestly, like maybe 2 or 3 tracks have become iconic and been reused throughout the series and 2 of those are related to Ridley, the rest is forgettable. And the controls are clunky, movement feels really floaty, mashing select then pressing X to use the sub weapons just feels insanely awkward compared to the solutions seen in the further games. Still, great game.
this is your brain on metroid.
no the purpose of a game is to have fun
if it is not fun its not good. wasting my time doing
busy work is not fun and therefore the games is shit
but super metroid IS fun
busy work is not fun period
Ok shitposter, what isnt busy work? Making the game into a straight line of rooms with every power up in the middle of the floor?
im not a shit poster but when do its always gold.
also that actually sounds more fun, think about it,
what if metroid was all about combat you know the
thing that actually takes skill and not just luck like exploration
imagine if the only thing in csgo was deathmatch
Why is it overrated?
oh my god you have no taste cs go is shit and i don't play it period
why do you think its good?
Refute what? A dumb macro meme?
Item placement isnt luck placed, faggot
It nailed couch co-op really well for its time. As a solo game sure, it stumbles but in multi-player it truly shines.
If anything it's underrated. Nothing else really comes close in terms of environmental interaction or the gameplay utility of powerups.
You'd have to make an argument first.
he didn't call it good
now answer the question
I won't.
>controls are bad compared to Fusion
>X-ray Visor is a waste of code
>wall jump is a buggy mess
It's all true and you know it.
It stumbles when you get to that faggot sage and it's clear how much it's rushing the end, but other than that it's fun.
Just don't grind magic
Used to play it with my brother growing up. We'd get maybe one good co-op session and after that when we would find something with multiplayer to play, the conversation was usually
>"Want to play Mana again?"
>"No, let's play Turtles in Time again"
no i dont the burden of proof lies on the one making the claim. metroid fans say its good without saying why or how its good and then they get mad at you when you tell them its shit
metroid fusion was the fucking worst with this
I still had fun tho, but fuck that really breaks up the flow of the game sometimes
Wow, you're one of the few people on Zig Forums able to hold a nuanced opinion. The points you make also reflect reality and the fact that you mention the sequence breaking being fun means you're not terrible at games either. Thanks for being one of the good ones, user.
