Ono is leaving Capcom. SF is saved
Ono is leaving Capcom. SF is saved
He needed to leave like 4 years ago for SFV to be saved, but who knows, maybe SF6 will actually be good.
what did yoko ono do this time
Japanese business is a harsh mistress, huh. Is it true they don't fire you, they just push your shit in to make you want to quit?
oh no
inb4 kickstarter
i hate the fact that first thing i thought was sf6 might be good now
we never found out what was inside Blanka's pocket
Good. Maybe SFVI won't be coomer and waifu bait and actually focus on having good gameplay.
Dumb fuck ruined SFV, good riddance.
Good, he shouldn't have played with Darkstalkers' fans and their hearts, force pushing DARKSTALKERS ARE NOT DEAD on his own accord to pull some fan reaction while the execs at Capcom needed to be convinced first was just too much of a rogue action.
No SFVI til 2023 I guess
...and nothing of value was lost
I guess him getting the boot off of SF6 has some degree of weight to it.
...and that's a good thing.
can this man ever stop winning?
>Maybe SFVI won't be coomer and waifu bait
Hahahaha, SFV's director and producer are still there and in charge, faggot. Keep seething.
it's wasn't obvious?
he had some hilarious moments
CAN ARR THE PRETTY RADIES will never happen again in the current climate
people blaming him for sf5 are dumb as fuck, he had no creative direction, he was just a community manager
godspeed ono
That's the usual way it goes. You only need to look at Sakaguchi leaving Square after Spirits Within bombing, even after all the amazing successes he created.
That was already obvious with the insane roadmap they showed for the "final" season pass for SFV, the last character will be released by the end of fucking 2021.
>The leak is real
Home or the room or the living room, KAGE!
What a shame
yes, due to the way jap. laws are structured.
It's easier to force them into resigning then to just outright fire them.
Seethe more faggot
Wasn't there some rumor here that Ono was getting replaced for SF6 after internal playtests were shit, it had a tag feature or something too
>he was just a community manager
He was literally the Boss of Capcom's fighting game division before he got kicked off after MvCI infinite, people compared him to Harada for a reason, now he is gone, while Harada goes on to become a general producer in Bandai Namco, aware of the company's whole catalog, not just fighting games.
>godspeed ono
No
There was huge rumors that testers of SF6 heavily disliked the new game and so the reason why he's leaving because he honestly is getting shelved by Capcom. And if the rumors are true the new leading director of SF6 is apparently female. They also said it will take about 2 years of CPT for SF6 to be released or announced because of the delay of them redoing the SF6 game. We're going to be playing SFV for a long time until we see anything related to SF6.
Haha based le "don't ask me shit" man, I clapped.
2023 at minimum
No fucking wonder those Capcom devs had a look of disgust when Harada showed his face.
Yes, labour laws in Japan are tough and severance payments can get really high for someone like Ono who worked for decades there, so japanese companies will try to force you to quit
ono? more like ONONONOOO
I think it was the scale of that failure that would justify that behavior. Spirits Within was a very expensive failure, like company ruining failure that they never really recovered from, if you think about the merge with Enix.
Not only that but developing video games in general is fucking harsh. It's incredible he was able to stay with Capcom for this long with that much success. All it takes is one bad game making sales and you can sink the entire ship and lose a shitton of money.
Not happening, people trying to blame this on Ono is hilarious japanese culture is coomer central, the coomer bait designs will keep on coming
cite a single source labelling him as anything other than a PR rep
Yes it'll stop, despite then putting in Rose and Akira with FIVE FUCKING COSTUMES lmao
but what about deep down?
It's a good thing if they're delaying SF6. If you dislike SFV you aren't playing it anyway. What's two more years of a game like supposedly like?
Capcoms fighting game division has been a mess for years, for fuck sake they made a fighting game a console exclusive.
Reminder the new head of SF is now a women who was CEO of the capcom mobile division.
She is based in California but is Japanese.
Cancelled or never was a thing at all.
Tekkenchads win yet again.
maybe there's a chance they turn this shit around then
crapcoms fighting division is the only one that seemingly can't do anything right lol
