Fungal wastes is the shittiest zone in the game and putting it as the second zone in the game is the worse decision after not expanding the hive
Fungal wastes is the shittiest zone in the game and putting it as the second zone in the game is the worse decision...
I agree
I actually agree. Nearly every other area in the game I have a mental map of but besides the mantis village, I barely fucking remember any actual interesting landmarks in the fungal wastes. Even worse when the fungal core is so boring as well.
Nah, deepest is the worst
Nah, fungal wastes is fun
I would say that waterways is the worst but you are right, deepest is shit
Deepest is made to be hated but at this point of the game you should have the controls in hands to not get fucked
Fungal waste is in the middle of the map serving as a labyrinth for new players who has their minds still learning with the forgotten crossroad with the boss in the middle of the map
Add acid traps, shitty mushrooms and being forced to go to the mantis village without any good indication for the players to be able to go to the city of tears with the actual boss hidden is just a mess
It took me until I've completed kingdom edge to realizes there a second part to the mantis village, a NPC explaining it to you would have really be great
Umm actually its the third zone
I mean... he's right...
Fog Canyon is the worst tbqh
Fog Canyon is one of the few areas in the game that actually pose a threat to the player so no. More areas needed intances of enemies or obstacles that dealt two pips of damage.
>Fog Canyon is one of the few areas in the game that actually pose a threat to the player
WAIT THERE SOMETHING TO DO IN THE FOG CANYON?!
and here we have another fascinating specimen of someone posting in a HK thread without having played the game, in their natural habitat
I'm litteraly doing the pantheon of god faggot
FOG Canyon as nothing to do except a shitty dreamer with the easiest late boss of the game
I count it as the second zone because fog Canyon is litteraly just a corridor you need further upgrade to really explore
The rare boss need to have unlocked the dreamers to be interesting
So you admit you're wrong then?
Playing the retard will not save your shitty zone faggot
It's kind of the best zone in the game though.
>the zone contains nothing
>literally posts the map showing everything there is to do in said zone in next post
who's the retard again?
I feel like the only person on this planet that actually likes the purple bounce pads you've got to pogo off of
>City of tears keeps raining because it's under the blue lake
HO FUCK IT'S MAKE SO MUCH FUCKING SENSE
Dude what? Fungal Wastes was max comfy
What's wrong with fungal wastes?
I liked it a lot because of it's labyrinth like structure and great deal of verticality.
Crossroads is painfully dull in comparison.
They would have been fun if they didn't push you off if you don't pogo as training the new players to take their time without forcing them to do it on ennemies
Their only usage is to pogo on them and became irrelevant the moment you got the walljump
Stop right there. You're really gonna go on this whole "purple shrooms pushing you aside when you bounce on them is bad" charade AGAIN? Find something better to do with your time, fucking please.
>talk about a useless prop in the game
>wonder why nobody like them
I would shit less on them IF IT WASN'T SPREAD IN THE WHOLE FUCKING ZONE
Also super fucking fun when they stop you to cristal dash and become irrelevant in the litteral next zone
Faster to monarch wings and walljump
BEST
City of Tears
Queen's Gardens
Ancient Basin/Abyss
WORST
Royal Waterways
Fog Canyon
Howling Cliffs
WEH!
Silksong...
Royal waterways would have been waaayyyyy better with a fast travel
one of those enemies that is really easy but I always end up getting hit because of its weird movement
They're spread in the whole zone because they're part of the zone's specific gimmick or theme, like crystal laser beams and flipping platforms in Crystal Peak or the dark confusing labyrinth in Deepnest. And no, it's definitely not faster to just use double jump and wall jump in most places where there are purple mushrooms present, because they are almost always in places where you need to ascend a shaft from the bottom to the top, and they beat both jumping and wall jumping in speed when it comes to gaining vertical altitude. In fact, in most cases, it's outright REQUIRED that you use the mushrooms to proceed, even after you've gotten the wall jump. The fastest is of course to use BOTH the mushrooms and double jump+wall jump as fits the situation best. If you've ever tried your hand at one of the speedrun achievements this is blatantly obvious.
>like crystal laser beams and flipping platforms in Crystal Peak
That shit is at the end of crystal peak if you don't count the laser ennemy you can kill with a spell
