Infamous Second Son

Infamous 1 and 2 starred Cole McGrath, a delivery boy who gets electric powers from an explosion. In Second Son you play Delsin Rowe, a power sponge that can copy other metahumans after touching them. Though he has a variety of powers that draw from the environment such as smoke, neon, video, and concrete, they're nowhere near as fun as Cole's electric powers

What a shame, electricity powers didn't excite me very much. Prototype in an undeniably jankier and uglier game but I had a much better time in the few hours playing that over the hour or two I put into infamous 1

The disappointing shit was the Karma system only superficially worked for the gameplay (you got some more destructive shit on bad karma) because it only changed the story at the end

bad karma ending was pretty fucked
grandma and the whole tribe disown you and call you a monster, and everybody just has to live/die with the concrete shards in them

i liked it

Lightning storms, lightning tornados, thunderbolts and sith freakin lightning in the first one. Unfortunately they really gimped Cole in the second game to justify his getting ice or napalm powers, but you also get homing rockets which are fun as fuck.

Still sucks because you'd expect him to get closer to Kessler s time went on. Instead he was just really neutered.

In my ending he lkilled them all with a super move? didn't that happen in yours?

Massively regret not downloading this when it was free on plus. Hear it’s better than the main game.

it was alright but too many sniping sections. And it kind of made me realize sucker punch just makes third person shooters but insteadof guns you shoot lightning/neon/smoke etc.

They dropped the ball on gameplay for second son. They ruined it by having you absorb a source to switch powers. If you could switch on the fly the gameplay would be pure kino.
I hope they used Delsin again and do this because it would be a waste.

Also, having the concrete power at the end sucked. Literally no reason to replay the game for real.

I really hope they come back to this series at some point. They still haven’t addressed the endings of 2 in any meaningful way. Guessing that with the success of Ghost of Tsushima they’re probably done with infamous though :(

Looks like someone didn’t play Infamous two. In that game, you can either get Quo’s Ice powers or Nix’s stuff.

I really loved it, it's one of my favorite superhero games ever made, right up there with bamham and spiderman ps4

loved the style, the gameplay and the story, yeah the game was obviously rushed but IMO it was still good, and one of the most underrated games on the system, better than HZD for sure

I even liked it more than infamous 1 and 2

Based, power selection was neat. Never tried the emo chick spinoff but I did buy it.
